It can be used to make AI security systems unreliable or make them ignore vulnerabilities, outright sabotage, or of course to spread propaganda or specific ideologies.

The best known example is an operation done by Pravda, a Russian propaganda network. Somewhat ironically, these days most of this information is probably written by AI.

Yeah, Musk's take is just stupid. "Chatbots" are pretty weak to biases in datasets as it is. So whatever flaws exist in "human knowledge" aren't going to be fixed by AI. If anything, it will strengthen those flaws as more and more information is published by AI and that information will contain the already present errors. This isn't going to be fixed by a few politically motivated individuals gaming the data.
