the goal is dismantling every power center of leftism. Every institution that has any power to change society which is inhabited by leftists has to be deprived of all power.

Why not the right too ?

by coordi m

There is currently an exodus of experts from the CDC

Come all to Canada !
We love and believe in science here , well the majority still do …

because the right is governing right now, I answered what the goal of gutting the CDC is for them

Ofc in italy i actually do vape everywhere unlike in the USA. With everywhere i mean that i vaped when my wife gave birth, in the room , and she did as well.

I'm picturing you 2 having a vape cloud contest while the doc is screaming inside to keep from going insane. Just like Jesus intended back in the good old days. Post-modern freaks lol

you don't have a doc in the room while giving birth unless severe complications are ongoing here.

not sure if it's different in the USA, but babies are delivered by obstetric nurses exclusively here (unless extreme complications).

you can get an anesthesiologist for the epidural thing but that's about it, and he doesn't stay there in the room for the whole time.

and a lot of time is spent waiting there for the complete and final dilatation, often alone, pretty weird for you to think that vaping there isn't exactly a very good way to relax nerves while waiting

btw this is one of the "experts" resigning from the CDC (Demetre C. Daskalakis)

He/his/him apparently is an expert at being a weirdo.*

*Please tell me that's photoshopped image.

More importantly , he pushed prep A LOT (a 20k/year treatment for homosexuals to take so they can do as much unprotected sex as they want without getting hiv basically), and thanks to his efforts your country now subsidizes unprotected gay sex to the tune of 1 bln per year (500k+ people are on prep).

I was picturing post-birth. She was vaping while delivering? lol I have 2 grown daughters btw. We had a mid-wife/doula for each one.

ye we vaped a lot in the delivery room. Then i rushed to buy her lasagna and salame which for some pseudo-scientific reasons she was banned from eating while pregnant by a doctor she trusted, and she ate that in the delivery room post-delivery.

I don't think people should share pictures like that online because of people like you but also as someone who claims to be a libertarian and had a teary eyed rant about citizens inalienable right to vape in stores its a bit odd you think what someone does in their spare time should affect anything

Ya I don't really see why a little food wouldn't be allowed if the mom wanted it. But the vaping thing seems a little surreal to me tbh.

I said why it does affect something related to his job.

Under him (who was the "monkey pox" zar) there was an insane push for PreP. That's a tax paid by everyone else to let homosexuals have unprotected orgies basically.

I am very pro homosexuals having as much sex as they want to but with no cost for third parties. Prep being covered by health insurance (which means other people as well) is morally HORRIFIC.

Americans are paying 1 billion per year in unprotected homosexual orgies subsidies.

Notice that i was ok with the states not forcing closures of gay clubs and gay orgies (if only the same logic had applied for covid) even if all the monkeypox cases basically were among male homosexuals.

Public health is an oxymoron and health is always and only a private matter.

But when you are legally mandating other people to pay for your sexual preferences that's not libertarianism

it was 2015 so no rules were written about it so without an explicit rule they cannot tell me anything. Not sure if it would have been the same today tbh.

I know in "normal" private places (restaurants, supermarktes and so on) for now the rule is "vaping is always allowed but the owner of the premises can always ban or regulate it".

I know i vaped at the local post office recently without repercussions as well. I vaped on a train more than once but i usually go where not too many people are to do so to avoid trouble.

But i am not sure what the rules are in schools or hospitals and the like today, i do vape in schools areas in the open but i basically never have to go inside for long enough to need to vape.

At least ime Euro-land has more smokers etc. and so at least seems more friendly from some standpoint. I've tried to spend as little time as possible in hospitals after practically living in them a couple years when my wife was losing to leukemia--but I feel like blasting a vape in the delivery room just wouldn't go over too well here lol

paradoxically it should go better in the delivery room where it's just yourselves than in other areas with people coming and going

Some of the nurses running around can be pretty militant here lol

see there are some advatanges in a public service which is chronically understaffed (there is no private option to deliver with safety, they don't have all on site specialists)

I feel like there must be some no drug home/underwater options there. Keep the vapes nice and fully charged etc. on the home field. Just admit it--you wanted to get all libbed up with modern world medical amenities 😀

I watched a best friend's gf's mom(they were christian scientists) back during HS refuse to go to the hospital for ~2wks with a broken femur. Even aspirin was a total no-go. Just prayers. She eventually caved when it was literal life or death. Personally I think that is barbaric and pretty much child abuse with the kids. So we have some fringe options if you have the stones 😀

there are places but they don't have all the solutions to possible emergencies on site so basically you are gambling with your kid/wife life that they can identify a potential urgency quickly enough and the ambulance will be quick enough, that's what i meant with "don't have all specialists on site".

No private place has reanimation (not sure that's the proper english word), maybe ICU?

i am an atheist rightwing person, the only rational combination (especially these days when leftism is basically the dominant religion in the west).

I am an elitist, familistic epicurean

jeez They're letting in all kinds these days--I guess standards have dropped 😉

I'd argue agnostic is probably the truly rational view. At least until we have definitive proof one way. But I'll just mark you down for a woke* on the inclusive plan--since diversity is a strength and all that jazz.

Nah not really at all. You aren't agnostic about the possibility that small pink unicorns that can talk chinese and sicilian dialect exist 10 km beneath your home are you? and you don't have to wait for proof of the contrary by excavating under your home until you can confidently claim you don't believe in their existence.

The only reasonable a priori position about the credibility of any claim you have no data about is "i absolutely don't believe it is true until i have proof otherwise".

I'm not going down this road with you--partly because I already lean toward atheist anyway. But mostly because I just don't find it to be too interesting anymore regardless. Agnostic still serves as a rational hedge imo.

Not believing something is true is not the same as believing it is false. So still could be expressed as .5 credence.
