$20k and you'll be fine, but $25k makes you a target? I don't think it works that way. No number is safe vs another number. What makes you a target is you. Maybe intoxicated, unaware of your surroundings, not paying attention. Employee some counter surveillance techniques and you should be fine. In a target rich environment, don't make yourself an easy target.
You can use valet parking to avoid walking to your car. Coloring up to flags makes it easier to conceal. Carrying a dummy murse or wallet with a sacrificial amount of cash and chips might help if it's a random encounter and not a targeted attack.

I'm less concerned with a random attack in the parking garage. But if I'm establishing a pattern of coming and going with 5-10k several days per week, I'm worried of coming home one night with someone waiting in my driveway to rob me with a gun.

Are you waving the money over your head or something? Not sure how anyone would know you have money on you.
If you’re really concerned about being followed and robbed: A wad of singles wrapped in a couple $100 bills. That goes in your inner jacket pocket and that’s what you hand over if being robbed.
Your real wad goes in your crotch.
Hello Gents,
Been asked to repost this here :
Hey guys,
I’m planning a trip to Vegas soon and I’m curious what the dating scene is actually like there. I’ve read mixed things: some say it’s all tourists looking for a wild night, others say it’s tough unless you’ve got bottle service.
To give a bit of context :I’m not coming at this as a total newbie. In the last year, I went from being frustrated, alone, and stuck in bad habits… to actually turning things around with women in a pretty short time. (Crazy story: my first time was during a trip abroad last year, and that whole experience kicked off a chain reaction that led me to go from virgin to complete abundance in under a year.)
Now I’m more interested in how to navigate specific cities, not just “general dating advice.” Vegas seems like its own unique animal. Do the same rules apply there as in Europe/Amsterdam/London, or is it all about money, clubs, and social circles?
For those of you who’ve dated or approached women in Vegas:
Where do the best interactions happen (bars, daygame, casinos, elsewhere)?
Are tourists open to connections beyond the “party night vibe”?
How much does logistics (hotel, access, transportation) matter compared to other cities?
Really curious to hear your takes. I like learning from guys who’ve done it in specific places because it saves me from wasting time with trial and error.
Also, if anyone here has a wild Vegas story or some more off-the-record tips, feel free to shoot me a DM. Always down to swap experiences privately as well as in the thread.

Apparently Wynn dumped their triple zero roulette tables as apparently there's a city wide initiative on-going to address recent concerns. I suppose you gotta start somewhere, but wake me up when they start phasing out 6:5 blackjack.

There is no sex in the champagne room.
Good afternoon,I was hoping some of y'all could help me out with clarifying the MGM Gold Upgrade via 150 hours of play.I hit my 150 hours for 2024 between December 1-5 while playing at the Aria and they upgraded my card to Gold. I was under the impression this would last me through 2025 just as if I had earned the 75,000 tier credits. However, I went to book my upcoming trip
Stop arguing , you got GOOD advice from the Rewards representative ......
Do what you were told, "CONTACT THE POKER ROOM".
(Understand this, A mere "Poker player" is someone NO ONE ELSE in the casino outside the poker room cares a cr*p about. No one outside the poker room really cares about the rake you generate inside the poker room. Poker is a highly labor-intensive, high marginal/fixed cost and relatively low revenue-generator for a casino.
You re the red-headed stepchild of the brick and mortar casino industry.
Unless another Bobby Baldwin or Jack Binion comes along, That class status will not likely improve.)
Random, but a closed poker room in Vegas makes it's return soon:

Great news but still no buffet.

No thanks.
I only take 215 if I have to.
In 2019 I went there once a week for a mixed game. I did like the room, and it's a nice casino.
Has the room just been sitting there for years, or was it disassembled?
It may take players away from South Point.
Last time I was there it was full of Keno machines. Live keno station is next to the room.
Last time I wrote here during WSOP24 about wanting to stay at a motel 6 because it is cheap I was advised against. I ended up staying at PH because my wife wanted to join as well.
But I did stay at the motel 6 alone this winter for 8 days to play low buy in tournaments and it was great $500/8days, walking over i-15 on Tropicana was pretty sketchy due to unstable people, but I put it as an American experience.
Now I booked again for another poker trip during the F1 but at Circus Circus and I assume it will be better than the Motel 6?
I hate spending extra money on poker trips, I am on a tight budget(travel + poker) which I am increasing each year, and I am trying to visit Vegas twice a year coming from a low income country

From the YouTube videos I have seen about Circus Circus, it looks pretty terrible. The rooms in the actual hotel tower are the "better" ones, while the rooms at 'The Manor' (a nearby building owned by Circus Circus) look like complete sh*t and the area seems unsafe. But if you have managed fine in a Motel 6, I am sure Circus Circus will be more than good enough for you 😀
Compared to the Motel 6 you stayed in Circus Circus will be luxurious. Enjoy.
Honestly if that’s your criteria for a poker trip why is Las Vegas the destination? Could probably find similar / better games at at least 4-5 destinations that would have cheaper lodging and food options than Las Vegas. Texas, Florida - even AC or Detroit.

Thank you, but change of plans as my wife will join again and we will probably stay at PH/Horseshoe/Flamingo

Nothing compares to Vegas for poker, it's always been my dream to travel to Vegas and now I can do it multiple times per year by going frugal and increasing my poker budget each time

This is just how I feel about Vegas as well 😀 Except the 'frugal' part, although I obviously try to keep the costs down somewhat.
Where should I look for short term housing (3-4 months) close-ish to the strip ( 15 mins or less driving )
