The CA bill was "read" in the senate today (not entirely sure what that means), but the bill was amended. Seems to be clarifying language that this applies to gambling workarounds and not typical sweepstakes stuff. So probably not a great sign that its getting enough attention for amendments, etc in the senate.

Agreed. They need to keep the credit and debit card deposits online or the entire thing crumbles.

Would be nice to have more clarity on what they are planning on doing but I guess if the point is to wait until after the CA bill is passed so they can do a work around on a technicality that makes sense but seems like only a short term solution. Doing that would certainty piss them off and have states come at them harder.

My thought is they are going to do some type of subscription club model but not sure how that would work. Have different tiers and you get an allotment of sweep coins each month. $1,000/month tier gets 1,000 sweep coins on your monthly renewal date. Need more coins? Upgrade to the $2,000 tier mid month and pay the difference. Have enough sweep coins? Downgrade to the $10/month tier starting on your next monthly anniversary date. As long as you are a member, you can play with whatever sweep coins you have. People who have sweep coins on 9/17 get to keep them but no new coins can be issued as a "bonus" for buying worthless gold coins. Ends the dual currency model, turns it into a membership model which I believe Club WPT (the normal one) does and isn't subject to these new sweeps dual currency laws.

They bought upswing poker training, so they could claim its a poker practice site with that model.

Really hope clubWPT finds a way to stick around so hard playing any other site knowing this one exists…

You sit down at a midstakes cash table at any other site and you soon realize what a stale grind it all is compared to this site.

Even Global games feel like nit reg fests after playing this site.

Don't see how they can. When California passes this bill, whether it's in a week or 2026, online poker is finished in all unregulated sites unless something happens federally (LOL!).

Unfortunately online poker in the remaining 40 states or whatever it is has months at best left.

Ahhhh now everyone is starting to see how I am 10000% correct and they will not exist in the short term. This is all a money grab by Grand Cru Concepts LTD. They literally have no intention of a long term business its just take as much money as possible till they are pushed out of the US market.

The site itself is not real thats why its so different from every other site. Its 95% house bots that are just stealing from player pool. Im glad you are up money whoever the moron who responds saying but Im up. Thats great, the site is up millions stealing from player pool with house bots on a neural network adjusting to everyones play and just stealing EV and prize pool non stop.

This will all be exposed. There will be discovery when the Fed govt shuts them down not just intra state.

GG and this will be the biggest stain not only with online poker but because WPT was dumb enough to license their name without control to this company the govt will make an example out of WPT with live poker down the line too.

Give it some time but this is the ONLY way this plays out and it is horrible for everyone involved with poker.

I think this might be a massive mistake. Either they’re doing it because people are successfully arguing in credit card chargebacks that they purchased gold coins and should be able to receive a refund on their gold coins.

Yeah, this is a tremendous **** up. Call your credit card company and tell them a shell company in Cyprus running a poker model many states have rendered illegal and the majority are about to charged you for gold coins and then made them useless.

I've already been saying this for awhile. Online poker in unregulated states days are numbered.

They should move the Top-up btn to the bottom. I have accidently stood up dozens of times when I meant to reload and then I have to post the blinds again. Unless that is by design.

This. Also, when you click on the play button in the hand replayer, the reveal hands$ button pops up in the exact same spot when it opens. Seems 100% done by design and I have misclick revealed hands multiple times.

ClubWPT Gold is officially leaving CT on September 30. Got an automated text message from them now. CT residents can't buy coins after 9/9, can't play after 9/23, and have to redeem all coins by 9/26.

I am in NY and it is down to only Betonline/Sportsbetting and ACR for me.....

All USA players should just band together and choose to play on Betonline/Sportsbetting.ag.... it works in all the states that sweeps coins sites are banned in, has the cleanest graphics/interface/lobby out there and the rake on their tourns is pretty low

WPT dropping the AMOE from 5 to 2 might have saved a bunch of people postage with that short of a notice. F these states that aren't giving a reasonable amount of time to tie up loose ends and cash out balances.

I might have to change my over under. These sites are so close to done. Shame.

No way its out of every state by then. No way the feds ban it and why would they close with the majority if the states allowing it still?

Wondering if MA is safe for the foreseeable future from banning sweeps, as all the casinos here actively hate poker/would love to get rid of it altogether, so who would even be lobbying to get rid of Sweeps?
