Yikes @ 10 in a row, gross!

I just looked up my 1/3 NL stats (~15 years / 6644 hours / 946 sessions).

Biggest losing streak has been 5. Once in 2019 for -318bb (including one loss for < 1bb, lol). And once again this year for -188bb (again including a loss for < 1bb, lol). This year's streak was part of an ugly 9 losses out of 11... where I only lost 135bb overall, but that was closely followed by another streak where I lost 6 out of 7.

My two fave hands this year which occurred within a week of each other was when I had the best hand all the way to the river where I then rivered top full house... only to lose, and giving my opponent a high hand bonus in the process (of which I've still only hit 1 myself in the ~2 years the promotion has been running).

I'm friendly with this OMC at the poker room. He knows I track my results and he tracks his (although he doesn't track his hours so he doesn't know his hourly, but I would guess in the ~just-above-breakevenish range). So every once and a while he'll touch base with me regarding how he's doing.

Anyhoo, yesterday he pulls me aside in confidence and says quietly "GG, I can't believe how well I'm running right now". He then tells me he has gone 27 sessions in a row without losing more than $100 in a session. In a 1/3 NL game. Admittedly, he plays fairly short sessions around ~3ish hours... but still!

I looked up my stats and my record is 18, way back in the glory days when I went on a 32-3 streak, which started off with 7 wins / a $12 loss / 10 wins before booking 2 big losses.

I watch this channel sometimes. The guy explains who is lip synching and/or using auto-tune or pitch correction. Almost everyone does it now. I guess the corps are even going back and "fixing" classic albums.

As mentioned last month, had gotten a new battery for the Subie. A poker group I play in is starting the new season tonight, and far enough away to give the Subie a run. Flat dead.

Tried to jump it off the truck. At least got lights, but the engine wouldn't turn. Threw the trickle charger on there, we'll see tomorrow if it takes a charge.

I don't run it much, especially when the weather's nice. Walked up to O'Reilly this afternoon to ask whether it's possible I got a bad battery. Could be, but unlikely. He suggested putting the battery tender on it after I do use it.

I guess I don't understand why sitting would drain the battery. No lights on or anything electrical to create a drain.

Assuming a start tomorrow, I'm going to run it up there to get a battery & alternator test.

Sad about missing poker, but I'm kinda tired so probably for the best I didn't drive halfway to Fort Collins.

AAA guy out today. Hooked up his pack, had me hit the unlock button and took a look around. Noticed the passenger-side map light was on.

Apparently, that one doesn't turn off automatically like the rest of the interior lights. Since I never have passengers, I'll have to assume I knocked into it at some point.

Then we turned it on. His device was able to show that the alternator was sending energy to the battery, but it was surging. That's apparently not good. Also, my little maintainer couldn't recharge a dead battery.

We looked online, he recommended this charger/maintainer up at AutoZone (~1 mile away). A nice day, so a nice walk up there. Got it hooked up now, says it's charging.

Any day I can get a new tool or device is a good day, so that will overcome the disappointment of leaving the light on.

Losing streak is over. Hell yeah brother!
