one thing at a time, can you rewatch the video and pay attention to when they actually make the salute

Ok. In the meantime why don't you tell my your interpretation of the Sig Heil type salutes frequently seen at Hezbollah rallies, and the books which provided this info?

no, I really want you to watch your own video.

no, I really want you to watch your own video.

Ok. I see a bunch of Hezbollah Jihadis doing some sort of Nazi/fascist salute while chanting in Arabic, with the word "Jihad" coming up a couple times.

Ok. Your turn. Explain your interpretation of this and what books you gleaned this form.

man you are a liar

In other news, despite the narrative otherwise, a lot of Gazans are recent immigrants from Egypt (by recent I mean the last 100 years). And at least one of the claims Hamas is targeting for liquidation are ex-pats of large clans in Egypt. And reports are some Egyptians are making a lot of noise about Egypt needing to respond to this.

Will be interesting to see how the Civil War and Hamas liquidation efforts play out, especially given Trump and the rest of the Western world has essentially given Hamas carte blanche to do whatever they want as long as they hand back Israeli hostages.

FWIW none of the top 18 stories currently trending on Kos are about the ceasefire.

Israeli hostages

All 20 hostages believed to be alive have been released
They were divided into two groups - seven released earlier in the morning and 13 released later
The bodies of those who died are still to be handed over to Israel

Palestinian prisoners

More than 1,700 detainees from Gaza and 250 Palestinian prisoners are also set to be released
We've seen vans believed to be carrying them at Ofer prison in Israel
Hospitals in Gaza are preparing for their return

heres a vid for Dun. its sorta graphic

What you are doing is the liberal identity politics thing. You think bc they are not perfectly white appearing Jews that they can't uphold and utilize the same structures created by the horrors of the White conquest committed by the European White Supremacists of the Americas that included but aren't limited to the genocide of the natives and the chattel slavery of kidnapped A

Of course, the people who actually went up-country, into the interior, rounded up men and women, shackled them and put them on the death march to the slave ports (which had a higher mortality rate than the ships on the infamous Middle Passage, about two in ten) and then sold them to the European and American traders... were West Africans, since slavery was a custom in those parts and had been for centuries, not just locally but in terms of exports, initially to Arabia. Slavery is still practised in West Africa, notably child slavery on cocoa plantations.

right, supporting White Supremacy as I said...

In this 2020 BBC article, Nigerian writer Adaobe Tricia Nwaubani says that her great-grandfather was a massive slaver (or 'what I prefer to call a businessman'), but apparently we shouldn't judge him by modern standards because he didn't know any better -- an excuse which I suggest British, American or Portuguese descendants of notorious slavers would probably not consider it safe to make.

everyone had slavery.... only people who still really have slavery are in the middle east tho! Also muslims were the only one to castrate their slaves ever wonder why there's no black people in the middleast? Na I bet you don't actually because you think only white people had slaves

No, it's a local tribal and clan thing.

There are some, actually.

It's true that the Arab slave trade with Africa has been going on from antiquity to the present day.

the Saudi, Qatari, and UAE vassal states have a lot of slavery. so does the USA. Israel might not have slavery but they do have torture rape camps. see a pattern yet?

lol the us does not have slavery roll in the tank!

its literally enshrined in the constitution!

Slightly interesting story imo as I think Turkey becoming a major player in Palestine over the next decade or so is a decent punt.

A last-minute plan by Donald Trump to invite Benjamin Netanyahu to a multinational Gaza summit in Egypt had to be aborted after the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said he would not land his plane in Sharm el-Sheikh if the invitation stood.

The mid-air power power struggle started after it was announced that the Israeli prime minister had accepted a late invitation from Trump to the conference being jointly chaired by the US president and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, in Egypt.

Netanyahu’s presence at the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh had apparently been sealed by Trump in a phone call from Israel on Monday morning with Sisi.

It is not clear if Erdoğan’s refusal to land for the summit was the cause of Netanyahu changing his plans, but it is known that he spoke to Sisi to raise his objections from his plane above Egypt.

Hasn't heard of Chinese eunuchs, but expects to be taken seriously as a commentator on slavery.

and Rome would never have considered such a thing

since slavery was a custom in those parts and had been for centuries

Yes, they had household slavery, but not plantation slavery. And you are leaving out the part about European demand transforming the West African slave trade. The region became thoroughly militarized as kingdoms launched wars of conquest to get captives to sell -- to the Europeans.

This is so ahistorical, you don't know what you are talking about. The kaffiyah displaced the fez as standard headwear for all Palestinian males during the 1936-39 rebellion --because there was a community responding in common to a fad. The Palestinian flag dates, IIRC, to 1916. A newspaper called Palestine dates to the 19teens. Yes, there was a general Arab wish for autonomy f

The Palestinian flag dates back to the early teens— but what does it represent? Oh that’s right, pan-Arab nationalism lol

The origins of the entire identity is about being Arab. That’s why subsequent waves of Syrian, Jordanian, and Egyptian refugees were swept up into the Palestinian “ethnicity”.

It’s fine to me though I don’t really care what their origins are because they clearly represent a national group now…

Identity is not separate from anything. There are multiple identities that flow together, that is the nature of it.

Right but the Palestinian identity and the Israeli identity are on roughly the same footing is the point. There’s not an “indigenous Palestinian identity” that can be analogized to an indigenous tribe. It’s a constructed nationality with roots in pan-Arabism that became a nationality over time through ethnic conflict with Israel.

I mean I misspoke. Nothing else i said was wrong were not exactly in a high tier debate here. I probably gave 2 seconds of thought to what i was typing. imagine giving more effort to victor. The increased need for slaves that you mention is because of the climate of the colony's. Not really a European driven problem as much as the climate. Europeans all died of malaria so it was easier to bring in slaves.

It was not because the Europeans were "worse people" it was just easier to bring in a slave that already was adjusted to the climate then someone from their home country that will usually die from disease. There's no good or bad people just situations. Everyone in the world is a **** so blaming your ancienter for the color of their skin and their atrocity's is just as silly as being racist.

People don't realized today that the southern united states and central America was a malaria filled swamp land/jungle

Just like I don't care that the white side of my ancestry enslaved black people hundreds of years ago jews shouldn't be blamed for the situation somewhat caused by their ancestors. All you can control is the now

Just a quick check in - does Victor still want the war to continue?

Victor can correct me if I’m wrong, but he never considered it a war, and he doesn’t think the genocide is over in any sense.
