That first lap in Q3 was crazy good. Kind of took the wind out of the session though, first man to set a time and it already felt like he had pole secured.

It sucks that the Constructor's championship is a lock with this many races left, but if the rest of the races are anything like today's race, it will be good watching.

Good to see George win the race. I feel like if he had been promoted to Mercedes sooner, he would have won a driver's championship.

Oscar can avoid complaining by performing better in qualification and on lap one. He’s not driving like a potential world champion. Of the remaining six races, Oscar has one podium from last season.

I was driving, so I didn't see much of the race, but it appears that we saw 20 laps of Lando not overtaking Max, while Alonso and Sainz were overtaking left and right and not shown.
How difficult is it to have a couple of people watch the 20 onboards and yell whenever their driver is about to overtake.

Also, I am REALLY not interested in girlfriends and other family of drivers during the race. Show them before the race, then GTFO.

There was one overtake in the top 8 after the first lap.
They showed a driver view 10 minutes after it happened, the announcers didn't even know who was taking over who when they showed it, they thought Charles overtook Kimi and Kimi passed him back, not realizing they were showing the overtake from before.
Alonso went from 20 seconds back to .4 seconds back of Hamilton on the last lap. We did not see any of it.

The race result had interesting implications. To me, that makes it a good race. That said, the on track action was very lacking, yes.

Yes, this was ridiculous. Once Lewis showed an issue, they should have been covering his car the rest of the race. Instead, they did the exact opposite. The last couple laps, I was watching the scoring pylon, yelling into the ether for them to show what is going on with Lewis.

It was on Oscar sure but the previous incident at Singapore did Lando no favours as Oscar looked like he knew Lando was going to force him wide again so had to try something different to pass him. Problem for Oscar was where Alonso was which squeezed the Hulk.

Oscar will have no one to blame but himself if he doesn’t win the title. He can bitch and moan all he wants but I’m not sure he is prepared to go out and take the title, it seems like he wants it handed to him on a platter.

In the final 6 races last year, Oscar had just one podium and one other top 5 finish. Hopefully he can put in a good performance soon. If it was Max that was 22 points behind, I’d say that Oscar would probably not win the title.

well, the two horse race is now a 3 horse race

Oscar now 14 points ahead of Lando and another 30 ahead of Max with 5 races to go

One bad result for Max and it will be over for him.

It is kinda like Lewis in 2021 who had to win the last 4 races to be WDC and he did it, except that Latifi and Massi happened.

I sure like that the pressure on McLaren is mounting up and the title is not as easy as applying their AIDS papaya rules

How average Charles - stopping Lando all that time during your first stint and giving it away that easy in the last bit of the race. Oscar of course his race was shot from yesterday. Also I hope he moves from McLaren as it is clear they want their man lando to win

Might serve McLaren's interests to throw all their eggs into the one basket behind Oscar then to make sure Max doesn't win. Do what Red bull does as that certainly helps Max that he doesn't have a strong team-mate that can take points away from him not that the team would actually do that at this stage of the championship but historically speaking it is why Max has been as dominant as he has been as the car and team has been built around him.
