Last Vegas, Again! Live Report
Well well well, 2 years since the last trip and here we are! I never thought we would make it here again as this duo, with family commitments changing, but somehow the stars aligned and we got this trip booked at the start of the year.
Onboard the virgin plane as we type this out, making the most of the 10 hour flight and onboard wifi (not free but worth the small cost)
Im Rez, making 5th visit to Vegas, my partner in crime is Paul, and for the 2nd half of our 2 week trip being joined by our close degen friend Dan. (Thanks to their amazing partners for giving them a pass for this lads trip!)
Its going to be a mostly live trip report, loads of photos and maybe some videos. We have a couple things booked, but have a long list of things we want to do, including shows, outlets, certain resturants, the F1, and a couple tournaments and mostly cash games and some other degen pit games (mostly dice and blackjack)

Lets start with the important stuff =
Since my last trip, i have played mostly cash vs big whales in private games 5/5+ plo6 and some holdem occasionally, and on a semi private app based game, with some big swingy results. A well timed run good the past 10 days has bankrolled us for this trip with a £15k profit in just over a week.
A free upgrade in transport to the airport, massage and cooled seats for the win!
A few pics of the lounge food and drinks and seat, must remember to come earlier, the lounge is lovely.
Anyway, feeling blessed to have been on a run to afford this semi high roller trip, got $10k to turn into considerably more!
So, as is commonly shouted at my main venue when winning a pot, LETS GOOOOOO!!! ***insert name of dealer who dealt us the hand!!!

Well inflight wifi certainly has its uses!
Im a regular player on a club on PokerBros, a strong and steedy winner over the last 18 months+, last month or so been good!
Played approx 120 hands in 2.5 hours at 1/2 no straddle PLO6. Managed to win approx £500 in that time, in a small game (auto run 3 times when all in also!)
Havent even landed and played some poker and won! LETS GOOOOO!!!!

I managed a 20min snooze on the bed, and got woken by cabin crew smashing and banging some metal boxes! Not good, will be writing strongly worded email to Richard about this!
Once awake, I was treated with the below, a fine selection of finger sandwiches, and some sweet selection bits, including a scone with clotted cream and jam.
Little fact, these jams are served in 1000s of resturants and hotels all over the world, and comes from a little company based in Tiptree in Essex, my home country [emoji39][emoji39][emoji39]
Anyway, under 2 hours, lets try for a little snooze and be fresh for an evenings adventure when we land!

Random Selection
Without going into too much detail, I do find I run bad when it comes to airport security, you can bet your whole roll im going to get stopped for a random bag check and full reacharound body search. Today was no different, 1 bag check at security, another before boarding the plane, BUT it wasnt me this time being pulled in at the Vegas side for a full inspection, Paul got the full treatment, about 40mins long counting out his cash and belongings, endless documents to be signed, all while i wait in baggage claim. Then, i get subject to a secondary bag check, and some large cadburys chocolate bars caused an alarm.
Finally all ok and off we go to our fancy escalade outside waiting.
Arrive at Orleans, old school musty smelling vegas hotel. Check in i get a surprise that i hadnt pre paid as much as a thought, but again all sorted.
In the ice cold room, its ok, nothing amazing but will do for 2 nights.
Lets see what we do tonight, our first night, and all the bad luck is over with!

Nothing eventful, waiting for a cash game, was slow to move so we went for dinner here, steak and eggs really hit the spot, and this giant cinnimon roll shared.
I saw a craps table, dived straight in, best roll in the 2+ hours i played was needing just the 12 for them ALL!!! 10 on all 3 features, got paid 300 for small, but that 12 was worth 1800 more. Had worked my bets up to my ideal amounts, 25 on the hardways, and 25 on 4+10 and 60 on 6+8, even started pressing the 4 so was a strong roll
Approching 24 hours being awake, im shattered! No idea the plan, but hope to he awake around 10/11am and get a good days poker in!

Fazzers and crewe living it up in LV. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here on a conference call with clients on a Saturday morning, just listening, waiting to see if I have any actions out of this cluster-flock upgrade.

We 3bet QJdd and get 2 callers
J 9 5 ddx and we bet small get 2 callers, turn 7 and get check raised all in, we call, and lose to 75o
Off to a not so good start but table is good and the room, dealers and service is lovely
Pick off a bluff from my new friend (the 75 guy) and im chipping up slowly, but the fast and loose players are being replaced by tight and slow punters
Its all downhill from here, crazy guy wins from me and gives to same guy, who then hits 3 outer to make house vs my trips in 1.3k pot

Why are we waiting
We book a 1200 loss at 1/3, just 2 major hands and lots of small ones, and witnessed some crazy behaviour, 10 10 9 8 7 in a single raised pot, and turn and river 250 and 800 goes in PER PLAYER and we see AA and KK obviously????????

Good news, we got our breakfast! That hashbrown is massive! But also very strongly flavoured, maybe a bit too much
So, me and Paul get up, thinking to go Bellagio, but no 2/5 yet, so im back on all lists here at Aria, and considering a later afternoon/evening tournament but will see how tired i am tonight as im working on mimimal sleep

Wrote a big post and it didnt upload so youll get the short short version
Moved to a 2/5 and got stuck early, then doubled up AA v KK
Then made quad 5s on 5 5 K 5 x and get a big pot my way
Then move to a different 2/5 and pick up some pots, make a house vs top pair and stack a guy for 800.
Our neighbour suggest i play the great game, and we are sat in a short handed plo4 game 1/2 with a 5 bring in
4 handed and we are on the up!

Played a big pot and made a super light call down vs the table action man
KJ109 i call down in 3bet pot in A 4 4 J A (ckck flop, bet and he tries to raise turn but doesnt say anything so 1 chip calls, then river ck call 400 because kinda makes no sense and hes a big blaster clicking buttons
Move to main game, won a fat one with 3478 ddhh
Then...this absolute massive hand limps to my straddle i make a small pot to 35 with 9875 double and get 3 callers

I bet 100, and it goes pot and all in, 3 way all in! The table is nice and very juicy action so we are happy to go twice...

Second run clean! I think im winning top board and chop bottom but small stack player has made a straight flush vs my hand on top.
All 3 of us had 975 with one other card.

Decided to call it at around 6pm, I have had 3 hours sleep in the last 40+ hours, and could feel myself really aching
Won a big pot with a turnt gutter with pair vs AAxx who is all in drawing dead
Then limo call bad KKxx and flop K K x and win another big one
Finally cashed out
Chip porn, in for 1200, out for 4.3k!
A little detour in the uber, and the first of many in n outs! Yum!!!
Day 2 is nearly over, will get some sleep and be hopefully fully rested and recovered, and in Vegas time. Checking into Aria tomorrow, and hoping the plo games are as good as today, quite likely the 1/2 is my game of choice (it plays big, with the 5 bring in, and 10 straddle, and super loose players)
