Day 11
The time flies! Last night I was in a decent game at Aria, moved to the 5/5/10 rock game, ended up a 1500 loss on the day, local reg calls me down with AA vs my boat and rivers his ace for a big one.
Was up peak 5k, down 1k approx at the moment
Tournament - 400
Clothing - 1200
Sweets & candies - 300
Ubers/taxis - 300
Slots + 200
Craps - 1200
Food - ???
Poker wise im up, but it soon gets eaten into with costs of things as above
Been to the outlets and walmart today, on route to Aria to drop the bags off and win some money back from the plo tables
Paul and Dan are at Venetian playing the $400

A big quantity of M&Ms and other bits, the peanut butter or caramel ones in the UK are imported cost approx $60/70 a bag vs $12 at walmart, so I loaded up on as many as they had for gifts for friends and family

When I was in Vegas for WSOP over the summer, I found a HUGE difference in the 1/2/5 PLO game, and the 5/5/10/rock game at Aria.
Maybe I was a little scared money when I played bigger… but I found the 1/2 game much more passive, and easy, compared to the aggro bigger game. The regs at the 1/2 game were easily identifiable as straightforward and nitty.
In the rock game, I found myself constantly getting raised, or check/potted, whether they had it, or were on the draw to get there.
But still, it’s fun to win the big ones. Spin it up, wherever you play!!

Wow! M&Ms are crap chocolate too, compared to Brit and euro chocolate.

Fortunately, Fosters isn’t on sale in Australia which saves visitors from making equally poor choices on their Aussie vacations
Fosters was available at Kings Canyon NP's bar/restaurant (2009ish?). Only place in Oz I saw it available. This is a good thing.
Did see a sidewalk sign with a Fosters logo in the Rocks in Sydney. Did not investigate.
There are so many better beers down there. As fw says, don't waste your time with that crap.
Day 12
Last night i finished a strong 2.2k+ winner in the plo game.
Up and out for breakfast with the guys, was going to keep it local at Aria but too busy at salt & ivy so a short uber to Blueberry Hill.
Steak and eggs for me, decent food, much cheaper than other places so far on this trip
Paul and Dan head off for a Ceasers daily tournament and we are planning on meeting at 6pm for the bounty at Venetian.
I stop for a quick haircut and then the gun range
A quick 40mins and $350 later, im on route back to Aria for plo cash. The gun range was ok, not sure a solo trip is any good, was too quick but still, fun shooting a few guns. Various pistols and machine guns for the majority of shots, My last 20 rounds were with a sniper rifle, aiming for the 7 at the top (look closely, you can just about see the remains of the 7) (Guns aint that accurate, very happy with my grouping)

Day 12
After an afternoon session of plo +800, Paul lets me know he busted the $200 at the V and is hungry! I call it on, Lotus of Siam. We meet there, order a few bits, was mostly great, but the chilli/pepper rice, WOW it litterially tried to kill me. Now i love my spicy food, but this made me cough and choke, not because of the heat, just didnt sit right with me
Satay, pork ribs, wontons, rice, garlic chicken, satay was AMAZING
We head back to Aria, lots of traffic, grab some ice cream and back to the action, 5 tables of 1/2 plo4 at Aria, for a tuesday is unheard of. I move table, find a super loose aggro kid to my left, i slowly hammer him until i get AAKQ ssdx. Flop comes 6 4 2 dds. We bet pot 100, he calls. Turn 9s, bet 300 he calls. I plan on betting most rivers...river 4 spade. At first i think i got nuts, but didnt see the board pair. Either way our 750 river bet gets called and we are good. +1500 after a long battle.
Puts me back + 3k after 3k+ worth of exspesnses with a few days to go.

Does this mean at the moment of your post (basically) the 3k of daily expenses (Food, transport, entertainment etc.) accumulated over the trip are covered by 3k poker winnings for the time being ?

No, I would be up 6k at the moment, maybe more. But spent it loads of cash on food, taxis, clothing etc

Day 13
Woke up late, Dan and Paul gone off exploring. A bit stressed as half my room electrics aint working, no lights, and cant open the blinds....sooooo off to Aria Poker room! Order some pork chop fried rice and get right amongst it.
Top 2 and flush draw with straight blockers cant win vs double gutter (5 outs)
Chopped a big one with huge redraws, finally make a hand, QQ on Q88 and stack a good player with A8xx.
Then slight missplay in double board, i have quads on one. And nut flush other, decided to flat river vs the jam of crazy Bob, other guy calls behind to chop with baby house on both.
Up 1400+ will do, back to my room to freshen up before maybe going Wynn

We all meet up at Aria, was planning on going Wynn for the nightly tournament, but i persuded them to go Venetian for the $200 bounty, better structure and should be much busier.

I win 1500+ in the 3/5 holdem game, 33 V J10 on J 3 2 8, all in turn. First good holdem game in i seen all week.
But good news, Paul and Dan headed to Horseshoe and hit some straight flushes at PaiGow!!!
Caramel chicken was amazing at gran lux also!!!
Steak good too!
Got a PLO5 game going but was dreadful action, except for Action Bob, but he left thinking we was talking ****.
Currently at Aria splashing about in a super juicy 1/2 in the upper cash area.

Day 14 - decision time!
Up late, slept so so good, a 1k win helped, those gummies for sure put me in a good sleepy mood last night
Waiting for an uber to meet up with the guys downtown for oscars thanks giving dinner.
Strongly considering extending my trip, can add 11 days to my trip with no charge to flight, and stay the Palms Palace for very cheap with kitchen etc. Make or break today! Got to decide, but 11 extra days solo.....
