President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Victor is actually far more delusional about facts and whatnot than the Trumpers here, and that's a pretty high bar to clear.

Soviets smoked Japan in 1939 too.

But I still wouldn't call the 1945 invasion nominal. Japanese stood no chance and the Soviets rolled through Manchuria in like a few weeks. If anything it proves the absurdity of the atomic war crimes by the White Empire.

in the 1930s manchuria was one of the most industrialized areas of the world - ranking only behind japan and taiwan for gdp per capita for all of asia (big asia not just the far east)

because it was taken so early on and before war broke out on a large scale, it was largely untouched by wwii and in good shape

it was one of the major drivers for japan's war machine and was their primary target and thus something they took far earlier than everything else - their success in manchuria was a major catalyst for their ambitions to take the rest of asia

the soviets primarily focused on "liberating" manchuria for that specific reason, they went in and occupied the land - dismantling all the factories and mills brick by brick and sending them up north to be rebuilt in siberia - they also took all the captured japanese weapons, supplies, & munitions and handed them over to the ccp who flooded in under soviet protection

it was done entirely for selfish reasons to basically rip the copper wiring out of the walls and then prop up their allies - not saying we weren't doing the same - just that the soviets were ffing a dead corpse and not by any means doing anything noble

well, again I would say selfishly "ripping out the copper wiring" is better than incinerating 100s of thousands of civilians with atomic bombs.

Hot take: I don’t feel bad for mass murdering countries that refuse to surrender when they get bombed into the stone age.

In any case it’s not even something that people have shown to have counterfactually led to more deaths than if they hadn’t dropped the nukes. The way lefties understand war is just some big virtue signal, that’s why you’re a huge Soviet revisionist and that’s why you’re making up false narratives about the allies. It would sure suck if your nazi-allied communist state directly killed hundreds of thousands of Polish people PURELY for conquest, which directly led to the Nazis killing millions of Polish people.

Something you will never call out lmao what a pathetic disgusting person you are.

Yes we know that you support terroristic targeting of civilians.

by Victor

Yes we know that you support terroristic targeting of civilians.

You support the Soviet Union allying with Nazi Germany you dumb****

Pretty sure it was a non-aggression pact similar to the deal the West made with Hitler to carve up Czechoslovakia. The difference is that the SU did it out of self preservation to buy time to build up their army for the inevitable war whereas the West hoped Hitler would take out those pesky commies.

We killed hundreds of thousands up to a million and invaded another country to help Hitler because we’re a peace loving country! lmao

Under the Secret Additional Protocol of 23 August 1939, Germany and the Soviet Union agreed to partition Poland; Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Bessarabia were allotted to the Soviet sphere, while Lithuania – apart from the Vilnius region, whose "interests" were recognized – lay in the German sphere (Lithuania – including the Vilnius region, but excluding a strip of land – was only transferred to the Soviet sphere by the 28 September 1939 Boundary and Friendship Treaty). In the west, rumored existence of the Secret Protocol was proven only when it was made public during the Nuremberg trials.[10]

Imagine comparing chopping up Eastern Europe with giving Germany mostly ethnic German territory in the hopes of stopping a war, not that it was good but for the complete wrong reasons than what you identified.

Also they didn’t accept the Soviet’s help because the countries that the SU would have to to through to help didn’t want Stalin in their backyard, and given what happened a year later they weren’t wrong!

stay mad the Soviets won lol

by Victor

stay mad the Soviets won lol

Nobody is mad the Soviets won, everyone just thinks you're a complete dumbass.

Why don't you tell us more about how the CIA planted propaganda about how terrible the gulags were in the *checks notes* Soviet archives?

naw you guys sound pretty mad about it.

Yes Victor, people calling you a dumbass just means they can't handle the troof. Time for your nap soon.

by Victor

stay mad the Soviets won lol

oh yeah bro, showing what an idiot and immoral scumbag you are really makes me mad. I’m definitely not laughing at your historical and moral illiteracy.

its just weird to blame the Soviets for acting in self preservation when they begged the West for a partnership to fight the Nazis throughout the 30s. no, its actually not weird bc you guys reflexively support fascists and genocidal Empires and Supremacists.

by TheBigEasy

Was Trump also officially pardoned for his crimes?

Not yet. Vance will take care of that.

by TheBigEasy

Where does the systemic sodomization of altar boys at the hands (penises?) of priests fit into the story?

You should probably ask that question to a Roman Catholic. Not sure why you would ask craig, of all people.

Everyone condemns that type of behavior except the Vatican.

"far more delusional" might be a stretch, but I won't quibble over it.

So my original statement stands: Trump is above the law.

Because his “story” is clearly inspired by the same Jesus nonsense that inspired the Roman Catholics.

An act of self-preservation is what he calls invading and occupying a country without provocation, but when Israel does it after a literal terrorist attack against them it’s called genocide.

Suddenly there’s nuance to war when it comes to the Soviet Union lmao

Give me a break bro, why are you just straight up ignoring the preceding 20 years of history after WW1 of the Soviet Union being a belligerent and mass murdering their own people and others. You think other countries don’t see that and not want anything to do with an allyship with the Soviet Union? Just no reason why they wouldn’t want to ally with them, right?

by Victor

You could correctly argue that the U.S. has done and continues to do some serious ****, but Stalin was in a completely different universe of corruption at the time. I say Stalin because so much of what happened rested on him personally, not on some collective belief about some unorthodox way society should run. His literal henchmen were essentially slaves to his decisions - or off with their heads.

I would imagine that the uber far left might deny the Holodomor (or at least probably will in about 5 years), but those under Stalin collectivized nearly every farm and seized everything that could be used to expand and industrialize - and then kill em leading to several million because why not.

Pretty much the only thing people cling to by saying that he was a stand up guy was that he played a major role in defeating Hitler, but he's dead if he doesn't so we can't be sure it was out of the kindness of his heart considering all the other **** he's pulled.

You could argue that he offered his people state run medical care and food to some of its people, but so does our US prison system - which was still better than many who lived there.

The one thing that I have seemed to come to terms with is that the world still is, and was, a ruled by decrepit individuals that the avg person can't seem to comprehend. We have it unimaginably good right now but that could all change.

Are we allowed to blame Stalin for the Great Purge or dekulakization?

Glad to hear you support Ukraine and agree with their decision to resist Russia !

Ho wait ….

Nuance only exists if you do bad things but you hate the West. Anyone else is a white supremacist genocider or a supporter of it.

Your sentence commits an elementary logical fallacy.

If you can't figure out what that fallacy is, let me know and I'll explain it to you.
