I think it’s important if an illegal seizure led to the death of a woman because some fragile ICE agents were triggered by her and her girlfriend. Not quite, at least not in principle. A motor vehicle can be a deadly weapon. See the recent case in Liverpool and the long stretch that the perpetrator will now have to serve (21 years 6 months) even though no one was killed.
Again recently, a London police firearms officer was tried for murder after shooting and killing the driver of a car the police had stopped. (The plate was red-flagged as the car had been used in a gang crime.) The officer was acquitted. The court accepted his defence that the driver was trying to use the car as a weapon to ram his way out of trouble. It turned out the driver was a known gangster and all-round nasty piece of work.
In the Minnesota case, it may be that murder charges should be considered against the officer who opened fire. The driver, though apparently engaged in a deliberate provocation, was a citizen in good standing as far as I know. Even so, the driver's actions are fairly inexplicable if she knew that the men ordering her out of the car were law enforcement rather than muggers. If you are confronted by armed law enforcement, you have to do what they say. It's crazy not to. If you think, 'It's OK, I can just drive away because I'm this great exception,' it could end very badly.

its really not that hard to argue probable cause it doesn't need to hold up in court unless your going for a conviction and theres no punishment to law enforcement if they get it wrong outside of screwing up an investigation.
