TV: what have you been watching?

I think The Walking Dead may be the best drama thats currently airing/in production.

Kumail!!

I find it kinda amusing that both Kumail and Jason, both big names, had to basically wrangle themselves to get on the show.

Kumail used to do a great X-Files podcast. That's where I first encountered him.

I'm liking The Silo, about halfway thru season 1.

My biggest problem with the show by far: the ridiculous DEI casting. This badass engineer wrangling around this massive generator is a pretty skinny little white girl? And that's just the most egregious example; there are dozens. That's Apple for ya.

4 episodes into Pluribus and I love it. Very funny. Pretty sure it's a metaphor for billionaires and how they view the rest of us.

Cool, got this to watch once I finish Welcome To Derry

I laughed and felt so bad for laughing when he told the story about the second X-Files movie. He was sad it was a terrible movie, then some bullies came into their theater and made fun of the nerds watching and they dumped theater garbage on them. I saw Kumail at a film festival once. One of the few times I felt starstruck. I didn't say hi.

He is just a great guy imo.

his movie about his wife's illness is very good and very funny

man, this Timothy Busfield news is crazy....he's accused of inapropriate touching of a child actor and now he's missing. U.S. Marshall Service is looking for him.

Damn...i really like Busfiled as an actor....thirtysomething, West Wing, Revenge Of the Nerds and so much more. Hope it's not true.

Seems like bs, but enough to ruin his career. He turned himself in today.

looks like a shakedown attempt - shame on the ny post for making it appear as if he admitted to diddling them

Yeah, the article I read mentioned the Mom of the kids was mad he didn't bring them back for the final season. Awful if true.

where was he that they couldn't find him?

Industry feels like a soft reboot in Season 4 and I'm here for it! Still feels weird watching Sally Draper all grown up and playing young adult roles. There's a bit where the Tender bros talk about adult sites like Only Fans and some other one. They list the title of a video "GILF gets force bred by big black cock" and it may be the hardest I've laughed during a show in a long time. An executive also calls them the "Paypal for Bukakke" (also the title of the episode) It looks like it's going into some WILD new directions and I love watching the old characters interact with the new ones.

Is it fair to call Taylor Sheridan the hillbilly Michael Bay? My dad has been staying with us while my mom is in the hospital and he's been CRUSHING all the dad shows and movies. He started Landman and I thought I'd watch with him. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but definitely acknowledge there are some moments that are TOUGH to digest. Like when the 17 year old girl (played by 27 year old woman) tells her dad that she employs the pullout method and that her bf can shoot anywhere but inside her. BRO. Then later on an older man is visibly shaken while she's outside lounging by the pool, but tells himself he MUST see what she's doing with the oil she grabbed from the pantry. Sure enough she's rubbing it on her body while he watches. I keep reminding myself she was 27 at the time of filming and that she's dating Glen Powell.

lol hillbilly Michael Bay is pretty funny

Wow, there's going to be a Transformers: Yellowstone! What a great idea!!!

I would be the first in line for a Michael Bay a transformers movie when by and produced by Sheridan. Both have the casting down for leading ladies and some creeptastic angles!

Sheridan reminds me of Steven J Cannel (sp?) from the 80s, kept putting out "soap opera" type shows again and again and they were all very entertaining and watchable. None were masterpieces but almost all of them I liked

That's kind of a perfect way of putting it. I watched a bit of his 1923, about 5 or 6 episodes of Landman. I've seen all his movies. Sicario rocked my world and it's been a slow decline since then. His movies and shows are just enjoyable enough that I'll keep watching. It irks the **** out of me that he hires Asian women to play Native American roles, but all the Native men are (from what I can tell) actually Native. It's a weird, deliberate choice that's always in the back of my mind.

You got rickrolled.

The Silo society seems a lot like the Snowpiercer train, but vertical instead of horizontal.

I'm glad I watched the 1st 2 seasons but I doubt I'm back for season 3 or 4 if it's gonna be all prequel from now on.

Looks like only part of it will be prequel, ok I'm still in. All I can say is, they better not go spiraling off into madness like Lost did.

Very excited for the new Night Manager season on Prime, watched most of ep. 1 last night.
