Last two eps of Landman have sucked. It can be a great show when it wants to be.

The last episode was just brutal I do not care about the daughter and mother. Daughters roommate scene may receive some backlash

Definitely. Can't wait to see what nonsense the they/them hipster crowd will spew on X or whatever.
The way the last episode ended, I'm curious to see what happens next, did not expect that ending.

Yea, this pretty much sums it up. A non-binary pronoun using mentally deranged person from Minnesota, perfect. Thank God Angela was able to fix it.

Yea, shocking ending for the penultimate episode.

i suddenly now understand why so many of you watch landman

Hell yeah brothers, I personally love when my big oil lobby marketing budget tackles social dialogue like windmills and trans people

Im shocked they/them did not identify the ferret as a emotional support animal

The one clip I saw of Landman looked like it was written by Donald Trump. Billy Bob was spouting anti-windmill propaganda and it didn't look like his character was a heel. He's not a good enough actor to make me watch that garbage.

the characters on landman are dedicating their lives to getting oil out of the ground to burn. literally destroying the planet so they can live in luxury

That's a very cynical take, Billy Bob's character is just an avid bird preservationist.

That's not the diversity we want!

there is diversity, and there is glorifying people destroying the world

hopefully you can see the difference

I happen to generally like landman. I just think it's worth being aware that these characters we are supposed to sympathize with are horrific villains doing terrible things

Isn't that almost every good show? Al Swearingen, Tony Soprano, Stringer and Avon, Walter White, etc.

I could be wrong, but to me those are anti heroes. it's made very clear to the audience that these people are doing horrible things, but still have some humanity and deserve some empathy. and they are generally charismatic, but deeply flawed.

in landman, the characters are obviously flawed(lol) but their complete disregard for the global damage(due to oil) they are doing is not really part of the show. it's not something we are supposed to think about.

like the wife is supposed to be this fun loving woman who just wants to make everyone happy. her flaws, as portrayed on the show, are that she has a temper, and can be silly and annoying(as most wives on most shows)... but the show never really addresses how villainous it is that she wants to buy second and third homes from oil money. oil money causes wars, and is likely to cause the end of all of us

does that answer your question? do you see the difference I'm trying to talk about? I hope so

it's kinda similar to copaganda, shows that glorify cops without addressing the bad side in the same way that shows you mention show the bad sides of the main characters

I have to fast forward ever scene with the wife, the daughter, the son and his girlfriend, and the lawyers relationship so I am not sure what the roommate thing is about bc I skipped it but it looks horrible from the few seconds I saw.

The Night Manager season 2 first 3 eps up on Amazon. Camila Morrone is smoking hot but a) not a very good actress and b) not on screen nearly enough.

A handful of things I’ve heard about this season of Landman would’ve made me drop it had I not done so earlier. That said, what is the shocking that thing happened at the end of the penultimate?

Just 4 episodes into season 1 and like it

Ponies on Peacock looks interesting

Came across Pole to Pole on NatGeo the other night. It's a series where Will Smith is traveling to different parts of the world.

Unlike the same-named Michael Palin series of many years ago, this isn't really a travelogue. Appears it's going to be more of Smith going to places and meeting up with people who are studying exotic areas. The first two episodes were in Antarctica and the Bolivian Amazon, where he met up with Brazilian scientists doing climate studies, and a scientist studying venomous creatures , respectively.

Pretty interesting start. Kinda educational, mostly entertainment, I think.

Been seeing promos for that lately and was wondering about the format. Sounds interesting and will check it out. Looks like his attempt to repair his image and get back in front of us.

I think there was some of that. Seems as if there was a point at which he referred to how crazy his life has been, and the Oscars incident.

Its probably mostly therapy. Guys life has been a trainwreck for a while

My favorite Will Smith rumor is him having Tupac killed.

that's not a rumor
