[Global Poker] Official Discussion Thread
Hopped on today and the Global Poker section is not there anymore.

Edit/MH: As there are no Sponsored Forums now, their
What other midwest states did you see?
Think Ohio just stalled out? Saw Lousiana (I know not Midwest) just started grumbling about it. I think Virginia is also in the mix right now. I read poker news everyday but I'm more concerned about bills that have passed as it affects our player pool.
Not sure what is up but I will say that the traffic is picking back up.
Traffic falling off a cliff? Open sitting SNG and they just don't start
Its super wonky there. I've been waiting to jump to 50nl from 10 for like a month and magically 20NL played multiple tables all week. And the MMTs seems to be doing way better than late fall. I don't get it. Its definitely in a sad state but I love it there. Not gonna be happy when it truly dies.
Should come back to Canada hehe
I have gotten three 5 sweeps coins boost on 7th day log in bonus in the last 2 months so maybe the odds are better for everyone now.
When reviewing HB1052 in Indiana, I noticed that there is a carve out to for peer to peer skill based games like poker. So, Global might be fine in Indiana for the poker games. Hoping I understand it correctly.

I saw something similar, I don't remember what state, might have been Indiana. Hope so
Anyone here have luck getting their funds returned after a period of inactivity? Due to health reasons I did not see their email about this rule.
I would hate to have so much money stolen from me by Global.

Most sites have a dormant account rule, but most sites will return confiscated money under it upon receipt of an e-mail request with explanation.

Unfortunately Iām from a state they discontinued providing service to and they ghosted me.
It appears they are trying to operate under the assumption they can just steal my funds at this point.
Does anyone know if any global employees are active in this forum? I would hate for my funds to end up in the pockets of some execs.

I would email the site and explain the situation. Sometimes they do actually return balances to players who've been inactive in the same manner. You can also go on the Discord for Global and mention it there
They appear to have stopped doing their free sweeps redemption thing as well. They moved it online which made it easier but now it rejects everyone. I know that was a source of play from some fish at micro cash and MMT so I expect that its going to get a lot lonelier at the bottom of the site now. We will see

Pretty sure they can steal your funds since they're an unregulated site and gave several warnings via social media, email, etc.

Always find it funny when players defend the site they play on because theyā¦checks notesā¦.wrote in some TOS theyāll steal your money and give it to higher upsā¦becauseā¦checks notesā¦the person didnāt log in within some made up time frame.
That said global is a dumpster fire, donāt play there.
This new Season of Legends campaign looks bigger than the previous one. €512,000 prize pool is definitely solid.
I like that they added daily €1,000 drops too, gives more chances even if you’re not at the very top. Anyone else trying it out?

What about it is s dumpster fire
It's been dying a slow death because the US states that it serves have been forcing them out one by one by passing legislation to specifically ban the loophole they've been using for the past ten or so years to operate in the US
Introducing rakeback made the games more nitty which only added to that
Every year has been harder and harder to get in the same volume at the same games
They've taken away a lot of the things that used to be giveaways. Promos, free tourneys, challenges that were sometimes worth completing for a few extra $ with little effort. Compared to even two years ago it's dry as a bone
Still a place to play but nothing like it used to be. Dumpster fire isn't an unfair thing to say imo

Super sad. I really like it there. I don't like WPTgold and my state just kicked the gambling bill down the road for another year. I'm still making money but I'm getting nervous and will probably take out half. Now that they deny those free entry sweeps money things too, all the fish playing with free money will be gone and I suspect they are not doing well financially or at least caring about the global poker brand of their business tree

states getting kicked was always going to be a negative. i still dont understand the dumpster fire thing. the bottom end of profitability from mtts in 2025 was nearly 50k going by the sharkscope leaderboard.. has been steadily growing year on year for the last 4-5 years. even now in 2026 the pace based on first quarter results will be even stronger then 2025 was( and thats post cali exit) so site is dying but profitability is rising if you arent garbage at poker

This doesn't really paint much of a picture and I have found Sharkscope to be pretty inaccurate at times
That said, I can only tell you my experience. I made 5 figures profit last year, but it was much harder than the year before and the year before that. The place looks like a ghost town now, so much so that I've moved my volume elsewhere
My 1st ever deposit was via PayPal and once they took PayPal away from the cashier menu it's a signal they're treading on thin ice in terms of legality. PayPal won't serve a customer if they aren't certain they're completely legal in US
As someone who had his bankroll confiscated on Black Friday and didn't get it back from the DOJ until years later, I never expected Global to last this long anyway. Grateful they did, site served me well. Prob won't ever grind there again, but I'll toss a few chips around from time to time as long as they're still around
