*** Official OOT Less Important Than George Michael RIP Thread ***
Here's a catchall thread for condolences for all your George Michael and below subchampions. May they all RIP.
RIP Alla
RIP Actor Robert Duvall, 95.
He bought a poker book from me when I had an online store. Googled the shipping address and confirmed it was him. He was prepping for a movie role.
love the story Vpro
you should have autographed it for him
I did put a note in there to contact me if he was interested in personal poker training but never heard back. The movie had a poker consultant, Doyle Brunson, on the payroll. From what I recall the movie was meh. "Lucky You" released in 2007. IMDB shows a budget of 55 million and a gross of under 9 million, so it flopped.
Duvall made me believe he was every role he played.
Nice story, Videopro. I always thought of Lucky You as a romcom that tried to take advantage of the poker boom, and failed.
imagine being a half-popped colonel let alone full bobby duvall as bill kilgore ordering online poker books only to receive on any palm sunday bonus personalized sniffing notes inside jacket surfaces inscribed by our very own videopro
would have to increase the value by at least four bits on the open plug market, wooden you think?
Jesse Jackson 84
Doug Moe, former ABA/NBA player and NBA coach for the Nuggets.
those Moe 80-90 nugget teams were amazing to watch
I was scrolling through social media and thought it was Matt Damon at first.
Two distinctly different friends on social media posted about his death, and I still didn't know who he was - never watched GA or Euphoria, didn't recognize him from Charmed (new or old?)
Watched Euphoria (Helllllo Sydney!), still have no idea who he is.
