Nope. But everyone should know the winter Olympics is coming back to Salt Lake in 2034
That's it?! Deal! Actually, I imagine if I were to get tickets reselling would be the first option. Staying with fam in San Diego would be option 2, depending on the ability to ride a train straight to or very close to the venue, pretty sure my bp wouldn't be up to the traffic that's going to be going on.
The United States set a new national record for the most gold medals won in a single Winter Olympics with 12 gold medals at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games.
This performance surpassed the previous record of 10 gold medals set at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.
At the 2026 Games, Team USA finished with 33 total medals.
The 2026 Games featured a record 116 medal events,
and the U.S. team finished in second place in both total and gold medal counts, trailing only Norway, which won 18 Gold and 41 total medals.
Norway with a population of 5.7m beats US with a population of 342m to top 2026 Winter Olympics medal count.
41 Olympic medals Norway
33 Olympic medals USA
watching the USA Canada hockey game now.
the USA shot that hit each side of the goalpost holy ****!
I doubt any country has a meaningful amount of natural ice to train on and as you well know we won all our medals on ice. We've built rinks and try hard. Not having mountains/snow is a huge advantage for our speed skating efforts and likely an advantage overall.

'trailing only Norway' the country with 70x less population
truly remarkable performance by the Norwegians.
If Norway could only monetize their Winter Olympics performance, that added to their North Sea oil reserves would make for one very wealthy nation.
they have Magnus Carlsen too.
So the US winning the gold in hockey over Canada pretty much sums up Canada's entire Olympics no?
Nobody here cares about swimming outside of every 4 years either, but boy do they let the world know when the summer olympics come around.
This is fair... although people from my high school went to swim practice before school even started. That wasn't the case with skiing sports where we had none.
I'm also not sure how to feel about the skiing/snowboarding events as there are a ton of them and variations of them (also much like swimming).
Backwards athletics events should definitely be made a thing.
Let’s get chess in the Olympics (they actually tried to do this).
As long as they keep badminton. Those girls really know how to handle a shuttlecock.
