This doesn't really paint much of a picture and I have found Sharkscope to be pretty inaccurate at timesThat said, I can only tell you my experience. I made 5 figures profit last year, but it was much harder than the year before and the year before that. The place looks like a ghost town now, so much so that I've moved my volume elsewhereMy 1st ever deposit was via PayPal and o

as someone who has played through the death of multiple networks/sites and who is always on the top 30 of mtt profitability since covid on global it very much paints a picture.. when a site is dying liquidity is drying up and the amount that the best performers on a site can make is constantly dwindling with no reversal in trend. you can see this by looking at ipoker,party,888 etc and compare to previous years. while the opposite is true on global.

are the games easier? no thats impossible ,everyone has wiz in their pockets. are skill gaps increasing? yes they are. is sharkscope 100% accurate? no it has never been just like it isnt now and it doesnt need to be you are comparing a sampling of thousands of payers vs the same sampling of previous years where the same innacuracies existed. are there easier sites to make money now? for sure and pretty much everyone know which ones those are, i play on them as well

Happy for you crushing it as a "top 30 MTT player on Global since covid" whatever that means, but this doesn't really change anything...It's entirely possible you are getting better and making more, etc, and the site is still circling the drain. There's plenty of evidence to suggest that, even aside from my own direct observation. I played mostly cash games and there is a clear, marked decline in traffic. Have the tourney prize guarantees stayed the same or gone up or down? Just curious, as I wasn't a volume MTT or SNG guy

Btw, they just lost Illinois as a matter of days ago, with several more states possibly following in suit. I know at least a couple states have had talks to shut down sweeps sites, but have managed to kick the can down the road

Top 30 mtt grinder on Global since Covid. You can’t make it up LOL

The tournament schedule has gone down considerably, in terms of how many per day and in terms of the garuantees and player pool. I've only been on global since last fall and it was kind of awesome as almost every tournament had significant overlays. You could track a few tournaments at any stake and just pick ones that were only making like 75% of their garuantee so the payouts were bloated. I don't have time for MMT lately but when I check its pretty quiet. They run PKOs all the time that get decent numbers and some of their mid/low stakes tournaments still run well. I also don't play late and night (eastern) so I can't speak for the normal "high traffic" hours.

there is going to come a time when its better to focus volume on the legal compact sites as they pickup more states and the grey market sites lose states. that day hasnt come yet but based on current trends is likely to be in 1-2 years

It's been dying a slow death because the US states that it serves have been forcing them out one by one by passing legislation to specifically ban the loophole they've been using for the past ten or so years to operate in the USIntroducing rakeback made the games more nitty which only added to thatEvery year has been harder and harder to get in the same volume at the same games

Their incompetent management also spends marketing dollars on people like DJ Khaled, Michael Phelps, and random NBA people who won't bring in any business. Their security is a joke and they let several low level cheaters blatantly use GTO Wizard in game for months before doing anything about it.

Lets be real they make money on their casino and sister sites. Poker is being kept alive to keep the flow towards table games and slots.

Anyone here have luck getting their funds returned after a period of inactivity Due to health reasons I did not see their email about this rule.

I would hate to have so much money stolen from me by Global.

global tried to steal my money twice. to their credit, they gave it back to me when I demanded it.

I didn't make up some bullshit excuse about health (and they wont care). I just told them to give me my money back.

Then they slow walked me on trying to withdraw recently. that was another pain in the ass

thankfully everything is stable now.

In the middle of tonight's Rattlesnake tourneys, did the site crash for anyone else around 9:20 PM central?

Same.

Screen went solid grey.

Tried every kind of re-logon or refresh.

Solid grey screen (well, it flashes like it is going to work, but doesn't)

yes that's exactly what I've got, unfortunate to say the least

Working ....

Satellite I was in is over ... somehow I won a seat anyway.

I had blinded out by the time it came back up, I did mincash. Meanwhile some who kept access were able to steal the blinds and build up massive stacks. Unfair to say the least, I think tickets should be issued.

"Hi X,

We are reaching out to let you know about an important upcoming change to our Terms and Conditions for Global Poker. Following recent legislative updates in Indiana, we will be adjusting how some of our games are offered in your state.

From June 30, 2026, we will be phasing out Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) exclusively for our Slots, Social Live Casino, Instant Win and Scratch Cards.

While Promotional Play will no longer be available for those specific game types, our peer-to-peer (P2P) poker tables are completely unaffected. You will be able to continue enjoying all our P2P poker ring games and tournaments in Promotional Play post-July 1 just as you do today.

What does this mean for you?

For Slots, Social Live Casino, Instant Win and Scratch Cards: Effective June 30, 2026, you will no longer be able to play these specific games using Sweeps Coins. You can continue to enjoy them in Standard Play using Gold Coins. If you have remaining Sweeps Coins won from these specific games prior to June 30, you must lodge your redemption requests by July 28, 2026.
For Peer-to-Peer Poker: No change. You can continue to collect Sweeps Coins through valid promotional purchase offers, daily login rewards, and poker competitions to use at our poker tables. Your poker play, balances, and prize redemptions will continue as normal under our standard terms."

good news for Indiana...

I recieved a "manual adustment" today.

I am assuming it is from the glitch during Monday's tournament.

I have also received a ticket for a $5k freeroll on June 1st for players effected by the outage.

I am pleased with GP's response to the incident.

Same, I received an adjustment and of course the ticket as well. Good job GP.

Anyone else in MA getting geo-blocked when opening Global rn? They aren't on the list of blocked states, so not sure what to make of this

This happened to me in Florida last month when I tried to login via my phone. When I connected to wifi it fixed the issue.

I'm getting the block on both my phone and my laptop, both connected to wifi

Nope.

But when I went to a blocked state on my phone and logged in I was blocked, and it stayed blocked when I got back until I totally wiped the cache. It was weird.

I think the google said it could be internet provider related. I had same issue as octopus just on my phone but not on wifi. It quit happening for me after a week or two.

There are several players from Illinois still on the site.

There was a time when bots were fairly prevalent on Global. Every site still deals with this, but my sense is the number on GP is way down these days. Possible reasons: increased KYC controls, increased difficulty of obtaining free sweeps thru post, etc. I certainly saw them before (weren't too difficult to navigate but knowing was key), but haven't suspected one in quite some time.

i miss taking everyone's money on this site. losing California really sucks. this was the easiest site for me post covid.
