On the plus side (the e/acc in me talking), this could be the end of American hegemony in the middle east. The end of American military bases all over the supposedly free world. Europe comes together in a new coalition without the US. The UK moves toward Europe and away from the US. China becomes the world leader for stability.

The US media is essentially a garbage fire compared to international media, agreed. I wouldn’t call them villains necessarily, it’s just that the journalistic culture is much weaker and skewed towards infotainment over strong interviewing skills. Personally I watch independent media. Zeteo with Medhi Hasan is a good one, even if I don’t agree with him on some issues.

US mainstream media say nothing about Trump's constant word-salading, contradictions, downright lies and clear indicators of senility.
