Resorts World NYC (Queens, NY)
Let's start this thread now that we know there is going to be one!
I'm hoping for lot of juicy PLO games, mixed games, an
are people still taking the under on Sept 2027?
Safe bet over, although that would be nice
Calling or writing to ask about the poker room is probably good because it lets them know we're waiting. I wouldn't put a ton of stock in whatever they tell you as far as dates, though. RW likes to announce big plans then decide later if they want to follow through.
13 tables would make it virtually pointless to go.
So hopefully the wait will coincide with them building a “real” poker room.
Fake poker rooms need not apply.

They never replied to my email lol
They aint replying to anyone
Underground games have more promo then them lol
So next tuesday, nice. No mention of poker though
While not ideal 2027 ain’t the end of the world
It is definitely interesting to see how Resorts World NYC has evolved, especially with the recent push to transition from a video gaming machine facility into a full-scale Las Vegas-style casino. While the atmosphere in Queens is great for a local session, many players find that the loyalty perks at physical locations can sometimes feel limited compared to what is available in the digital space.
For those who travel frequently or prefer playing from home, you can often find more flexible Exclusive casino rewards that offer a higher level of personalization than standard floor cards. It will be fascinating to see if the proposed expansion at Aqueduct includes a complete overhaul of their Genting Rewards program to stay competitive with these international digital standards!
at least a 2027 opening just about rules out a 13 table room
Id take the 13 tables if its now and then expanded in 2027, better than nothing
I guess in the person you're responding to's mind, them taking longer makes it much less likely for them to do a small room, and that it makes it likely they are building a bigger space
I actually tend to agree with him, probably because I want to be optimistic lol, but I don't think it's anywhere near a sure thing they build a bigger room... especially just because of the timeline
Fingers crossed optimism is right!

I mean hopefully they get some sense into them, a 13 room table would be disastrous in the long run as they would LOSE a ton of customers, and not just from poker. Imagine the wait lists.... as soon as that isn't the only (legit) game in town people just won't bother.
Like all of us, I've played poker at some small rooms that get 1-2 games going with the same people every night, including rooms on the literal Las Vegas strip..... obviously they do the maths but you probably want to lock in long term customers quickly in NYC.
13 seems ridiculous
