I recorded a video the day I won that tournament and after which my account was closed (I sometimes do this to review my play later). Perhaps it could help clarify the situation? If I violated anything, please indicate what. I'm not satisfied with the wording of the investigation's findings. His account was closed months ago as you can see the date that he posted it so it was not a 24 hour decision, he just kept on asking me to keep sending it over for him which I am obliged to do. I will not answer you again regarding another members account as that is his personal business but I have sent over the private posts that were supplied by Mike but I have no say in the outcomes.

I am incredibly grateful that you took a closer look at my case and gave me a voice. You’re doing a great job here on the 2+2 forum.
However, I’d like to clarify that I didn’t say the decision was made in under 24 hours. I understand that the ban happened a while ago and that the original decision may have taken longer at the time.
What I meant was that this user complained about not receiving a response. And once he posted here, it took less than 24 hours from your forwarding and review. That’s what I was referring to.
And the same thing happened in my case. I also stopped receiving replies. Only with your help here was it forwarded again and reviewed within 24 hours.
In my case, this happened 8 months ago, and I doubt anyone can go through all the records that quickly.
But I also want to say this to everyone here: 888poker is a trustworthy site. I always received my rakeback on time every Monday and never had any problems with withdrawals. In 2024, I was even so impressed with the email support that I said it was better than on PokerStars.

a week ago support sent me an EMail in which they asked me to reply if I´d like my account to be reopened. I replied to that EMail the same day and said "yes, please". Since then nothing happened. I wrote another EMail two days ago to ask what´s going on and why my account is still temporarily blocked. I haven't received a reply yet.
This is going on for almost two weeks now. So is it legal to keep my account blocked without any reason and to prevent access to my funds? Do I need a solicitor now?

According to the german law players must be given an opportunity to block themselves from all the online gambling activities for 24h. The button has to be visible on every table, so many players, including high stakes pros on final tables have accidently pressed it (and were immediately put sit-out). But the point here is: 888 is the only one site that makes the block permanent and players have to write with support for weeks/months to reopen their accounts. Btw. it's pretty embarassing, that they still didn't manage it to reopen Turbowurst's account after he complained multiple times.

And we can see from history 888 has been in hot water before, therefore it could be they are reviewing things which takes longer to assess whether further intervention is necessary. I am not saying this is the case, just a theory that could explain it.

If playing multiple tables it can happen that you accidentally hit the 24-hour-block-button, what is bad enough. But after that time period you can continue playing on any site. Except 888.
What makes the whole thing even more ridiculous is that they wrote me an Email in which they stated:
"If you wish to reopen your account, we ask that you carefully consider all aspects of your decision. I wanted to mention that a new player appeared in $50–$200 cash games — “HerLeaL82”.
His play looks very similar to a group of accounts that were discussed earlier (AValiska, FuenteZ7, etc.), which later disappeared. Same kind of patterns and overall style.
Might be worth taking a look.

Since I have already fully cooperated and provided all requested information, I am now prepared to present this case publicly so that others can understand how it has been handled over the past 8 months.
My account was permanently closed based on vague and unsubstantiated allegations of artificial intelligence usage, and my entire bankroll was confiscated. To this day, I have not received any concrete explanation or substantiated reasoning for this decision.
Given that player funds have been withheld, I expect a clear, transparent, and justifiable explanation of the alleged breach of your terms. At present, this has not been provided.
I would therefore ask once again for this matter to be properly reviewed and addressed.
Formal Complaint – Account Suspension and Confiscation of Funds Without Substantiated Evidence
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am submitting this formal complaint regarding the suspension of my account (username: "habeichja") and the confiscation of my entire account balance.
My account was suspended based on an alleged suspicion of “artificial intelligence” usage. However, at no point during this process have I been provided with any concrete evidence, specific examples, or a substantiated explanation of the alleged violation.
I clearly and unequivocally deny these allegations. I have never used any form of artificial intelligence, bot software, or prohibited assistance tools. The only software I have used (such as PokerTracker 4 and Intuitive Tables) is explicitly permitted under your terms.
Despite my full cooperation throughout the process — including multiple follow-ups and the successful completion of your KYC verification (ID, selfie, proof of address) — your team has issued a final decision to permanently close my account and confiscate my funds, without providing any meaningful justification.
From my perspective, this decision appears arbitrary and unsupported by verifiable facts.
I wish to emphasize:
The allegation remains vague and unsubstantiated
No specific breach of your terms has been demonstrated
I have not been given a fair opportunity to understand or respond to any concrete accusation
While I understand that accounts may be restricted based on internal risk assessments, such measures must still be proportionate, transparent, and justifiable — especially when they result in the permanent confiscation of player funds.
The withholding of my entire balance under these circumstances is, in my view, unjustified, disproportionate, and lacking a valid legal basis.
I therefore formally request:
the immediate reinstatement of my account
a clear and substantiated explanation of the alleged violation
identification of the specific rule(s) I am accused of breaching
In the event that no clear and verifiable breach can be demonstrated, I further demand the immediate release of my full account balance.
I set a deadline of 14 days from receipt of this email for a satisfactory and substantive response.
Should this matter not be resolved within this timeframe, I will escalate the case to the relevant regulatory authority, the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), as well as to an independent dispute resolution body (ADR), including eCOGRA.
I expect this matter to be handled with the seriousness and fairness required of a licensed operator.

Unfortunately, I have not yet received any response from your side. I am completely innocent and have spent the entire weekend trying to figure out how one is supposed to prove innocence when one knows with 100% certainty that they have never used artificial intelligence or any bot programs.
Therefore, I would like to once again ask you to contact me so that this matter can be clarified. Specifically, I want to know why my account was suspended so that I can decide how secure 888 Poker is in the future. I mean, my bankroll is approximately €500 and not something like €50,000.

it´s now 1 week, since my Account was frozen, because of the potencial use of KI-Software. I already told everything in german, but now i will do it in english.
maybe that helps to get an answer. Since 1 week i am waiting for a response, why my account was frozen. Never in my live i used some Ki-Software.
The only programs i use for the comfort of the grind is
a) Intuitive Tables
b) Poker Tracker4
Your AGB´s clearly allow to use this 2 programs. For that reason i know for 100%, that it is a mistake by your side and i want an answer from you, not only,

In my case, this is about alleged use of artificial intelligence. In your situation, it was just a simple misclick — and even you still ended up being banned.
On Reddit, there is a user named allinosaurus who comments under many posts saying that he had to wait 6 months for a payout. A Reddit representative was messaging him the entire time, yet nothing actually happened.
By the way, I have personally played against him — the name immediately rang a bell.
Only after he contacted the Gambling Commission did he receive his money within 4 days.
That is exactly what I would recommend to you as well. Take a look at Reddit and see how many “victims” of arbitrary decisions there are.

1.My goal was always just to have my account unlocked.
2.Paying out the money and keeping the account closed without giving me any reason appears to me as an admission of arbitrary behavior.
3.I have been waiting for years for Winamax.de to finally obtain a license in Germany. I will file a major complaint with the gambling regulatory authority and will collect everything I can find here and on Reddit, especially from German players.

To everyone: I’ve been playing poker for a long time. But I have never in my life seen random players in a forum reporting suspected bots this frequently.
Let me tell you a secret. If there are players who have to report an entire ring of bots that were able to play for two months without being removed by 888 itself, then something is clearly wrong, isn’t it? And if they all disappear 24 hours after a player reports them here—what does that tell you? I want all of you to think for yourselves for a moment.
If you still don’t know the answer: why are there no players in PokerStars subforums casually reporting bots? Could it be that PokerStars detects them before anyone even needs to report them? Of course, something can always slip through—I have zero idea how bots work or where you would even “buy” one.
On 888, it looks like bots are only removed after being reported. How likely is it that my case was handled the same way? Why did this happen so suddenly—and strangely right after I had an upswing and some completely crazy hands against paisting? Anyone who looks at his August 2025 graph will see where he tilted at the end!!! He lost that deep stack to me about 90% of the time. He always talks about his downswings. He has the edge, builds a stack, and then a whale regular gets deep too and sucks out on him.
That’s exactly what happened with me—and the next day I was banned. At 888 Poker, it feels like East Germany before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Fraudsters are being enabled by naive informants.
At 888 Poker, you now have to be afraid that anyone can report anyone, and then a “specialist” makes a decision—like in my case, presumably.
