2026 World Series of Poker May 26th - July 15th
Not sure if its been mentioned but we might have a showdown of kabrel and Hawkins. Both top 5 in chips with 50ish left in the 5knl.
Just another chance for Hawkins to stiff a backer?
He is scum but I checked and MH had 18BBβs couple hrs ago,if he spun it up that quick against a decent field thats crazy.
Yup. Hes got 1.3 mil, 100bb+ now.
Im rooting for Hennigan
All three gone now, stopped for the night at 24.

The scheduled YouTube streams all appear to start at 10 pm or later? WTF
I assume you guys are east coast like I am. I listened to the pokernews podcast the other day that had jeff platt on.
Here is what he said about stream times
Jeff Platt explained that the live streams will likely start around 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Pacific time
He noted that they are operating on a delay - roughly **an hour and a half to two hours** - to ensure that all production elements, including feature tables and content from outside tables, are properly prepared and integrated before airing.
There will be a live stream covering the action every single day of the series.
The team plans to provide coverage for every single day of the Main Event as well . He emphasized that these planned times are always subject to change.
Part of video he talks about streaming - https://youtu.be/72a3dlUxEL8?t=1080
Interesting entry numbers, though it is early.

Thanks for the info. The streams seem to be starting around 3 hours later than they have in previous years. Sucks a bit but its now free I guess. Hope they start the PPC and the main earlier for two.
Only getting to write off 90% of losses? I would say avoiding dealer issues, but that happens every year this early.
No idea. I am not a "sky is falling" person but was just interesting to see, but also its early, people may have different schedules this year for whatever reason. Seems like a big drop for the 5k. I was surprised to see the O/8 drop 10% that is one of the most popular lower limit mix events each year.

While Jeff platt didnt say it. The later streams are presumably so they can do dynamic delays so that there aren't 20 minute breaks in the middle.
That would be nice if that was true!
The 550 mystery bounty seems to be getting a pretty middling field so far.
Is there a streaming schedule anywhere?
It is kind of on the youtube page for the coming week: https://www.youtube.com/@WSOP/streams
I know people are happy itβs no longer behind a βpaywall!β but the coverage might be worse than in past years. Schedule so far only shows 25K heads-up and 10K high roller.
Will see what they show in future and everyone has their own opinions but thereβs no shortage of NLHE high rollers on TV over the years. Will see if they cover other games, lower buyins and mixed games
But please we go through the same conversations every year regarding start times. Itβs a West Coast series on a delay. Itβs going to be on later out East. Nothing to be done, watch it next day if itβs too late for you.
No stream until 7:30pm PST. what a bunch of horseshit.

Yeah it was on the whole good on PokerGo and well worth the money, hope we get the same level of quality.

I don't care what the start time is, my concern was the streams might be shorter overall and have less coverage than when they were on PokerGo, but we can only wait and see.
I have no doubt we are in for some epic main event coverage because

Norm and Lon are back
Someone want to start a thread for the stream watchers so we can leave this one solely for the players?
My feeling is that competition elsewhere (V, Wynn, Aria) on the strip will have wsop numbers down all across town.
I went to HS/Paris to walk around and in all my years going to wsop, there is a lot less energy. I always believed that the average joe poker player would one day wake up and realize tourney poker is essentially a lottery to an unstudied player and they would transition to cash games or other forms of gambling like sports books.
I think we already had top notch Main Event coverage the past several years. It was just behind the paywall but as others pointed out not everyone gets ESPN. Others get upset about all of the streaming services but generally speaking when compared with 15 years ago I probably pay less for TV but get more specifically of what I want to see.
Noted regarding start time but this is just HU event so itβs different. The days of the final table it will probably be the same deal
as PokerGo.
No shade if you chose to play it, but personally I couldn't be less interested in a $550 buy-in that takes a $1M bounty out of the prize pool.
Top-heavy payouts might make good copy. I don't think they're great for the ecosystem. The gimmick may be getting stale.
If you're trying to present the WSOP as the premium brand in poker, an almost literal lottery is maybe not the best look.

BS the tournaments started five hours ago at this point. Zero reason for this to be delayed this long. Itβs just straight up bad business to not start early enough for east coast to watch more than a couple of hours.

Totally agree.
