President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I wonder who would win out of Trump and Victor in a moron competition.

Victor, can you solve the "person, man, woman, camera, TV" problem?

I can solve the "stop murdering and raping children" problem. seems that the countries you support cant get there.

by Victor

ya man, I didnt need the Lancelet to tell me that the death toll in Gaza from the genocidal Jewish Supremacist onslaught was far beyond what was recorded and reported.

without a methodology for critically evaluating sources it’s just question begging. there are some symmetrical arguments I could make but I’m guessing they will fall on deaf ears.

the sources in Gaza have been critically evaluated into mincemeat with missiles so we just have to take Israel's word for it

I’m not even sure you’re even following what the discussion is about. I don’t recall saying anything about trusting Israeli sources uncritically. In fact the point wasn’t even about any particular issue but a broader point about epistemology.

Your life is awful.

If you needed any more evidence that Trump has to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find anyone with anything left to lose who is willing to participate in any event in which he is involved:

As Kris Kristofferson might have put it, “Freedom 250” is just another word for a festival with very few acts left to lose. As of Friday morning, five out of nine artists announced roughly 48 hours earlier for the “Freedom 250” concerts on the National Lawn in Washington, D.C. have officially declared their intentions to back out of the gigs, which were set up by a private/public partnership founded by Donald J. Trump.

The fifth and latest to declare he was pulling out was rocker Bret Michaels, of Poison fame, whose exit statement essentially said that the atmosphere around the show had been poisoned, and that he was unnerved by threats that were coming in over the controversial festival.

* * *

With his departure, Michaels joins Morris Day, Young MC, the Commodores and Martina McBride on the list of those doing quick pullouts over the last two days. Only two out of nine acts have publicly declared an intent to go through with the gigs: Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan. C&C Music Factory frontman Freedom Williams said he was still uncertain whether he’d go through with thier appearance or not. That leaves only Flo Rida out of the nine who has still not addressed the issue at all.

Imagine attending a concert in which the headlining acts are Vanilla Ice and half of Milli Vanilli.

Apparently one of the pillars of the MAGA movement is to turn America into a cultural wasteland. Vanilla Ice and one of the frauds from MilliVanilli are the only “artists” who are performing. What a ****ing joke.

You got me. I woke up in the middle of the night ripped a bonghit typed a banger and went back to bed.

I don't care what the discussion is about and I don't care how you slice your episteme.

You can't get to the essence of things through definitions.

Sounds pretty much like how Trump comes up with his tweets (or is it "truths" now lol). You just got to up your game and work some covfefe in there somewhere.

Can't argue with success.

On a mostly unrelated note, it is crazy how many musicians are willing to play private events if you pay them enough. You can hire a wide range of aging also rans (e.g., one half of Milli Vanilli) to living legend types (e.g., Sting) to play your 50th birthday party if you want to shell out the cash. People typically pay between $75K and $1.5 million depending on whether they are hiring closer to the Milli Vanilli or Sting end of the range.

You obviously can't hire the biggest acts in the world to do this sort of thing, but it's amazing who is available.

I remember Rihanna did a very rich wedding and they literally gave her a blank check to write her own fee.

one of the frauds from MilliVanilli

Is this one of the front guys* or one of the actual musicians? Either way, it is about the nut low.

The front guys got a bad deal. They were hired to be in a music video and that's what they did. There was no intent to deceive on their part. And then things snowballed and no one mentioned that. If anyone involved with the actual music would have said something up front there's no issue and everyone is happy.

Fab Morvan. He's one of the front guys.

Milli Vanilli seems especially appropriate.

Given your man-crush on Stalin I'd say you haven't quite solved it yet.

Trump is no genius, but sheer lack of intelligence isn't the main reason why his presidency has been a disaster. Imagine that someone approximately as intelligent as Trump, but far less narcissistic and far more decent, than Trump, was thrust into the presidency. How would that person behave? In all likelihood, that person would surround himself or herself with highly experi

I disagree with you, but I understand your point and think it is reasonable for trump's 2nd term. However, imagine how the US and the world would have done trump's 1st term with your hypothetical person. Your random person would not have pushed back on the "experts" at all during covid which would resulted in everyone in the US being forced to get the vax, schools and most of the economy would have been closed for much longer (essentially killing most small businesses), the inflation we dealt with post covid would have been 5x worse, the govt debt would have possible doubled (to pay for all the handouts), unemployment would have skyrocketed and the govt control over the our lives and economy would have been insane.

Every dem and most repubs would have snapped at the opportunity to use covid as a way to rule with an iron fist. Trump's decision to allow states the freedom to make some of their own covid rules proves how little he cares about increasing his power. This was probably the best example the world has seen of a leader presented with a golden opportunity to grab more power and trump instead took the opportunity to show the world a true leader isn't power hungry.

Between allowing states to make their own rules during covid and trump working his tail off trying to cut the size of govt with DOGE (even though it wasn't super successful because dems fought hard to give the president the max amount of power) I think it is fair to say he is the least power hungry president we have ever had.

It's called conversation. People don't have discussions through citation and definition.

Since you remind me of Cinema Sins and you are always up my ass I am gonna call you Enema Sins.

If you mean you can't get to the essence of things through definitions alone, that is both true and noncontroversial.

When did I say people do have discussions through citations and definitions?

Ironically your sense of humor is a lot closer to Cinema Sins than mine.
