Bitcoins - digital currency
The entire forum was offline for maybe 1-2 weeks. 2012-2013 kinda time.
Some prominent posters or perhaps the official 2+2 Twitter account I can’t remember which helped pass the time by posting on Twitter links to classic threads on the archive site.
It came back and everything was resecured but some accounts were taken over in the months that followed.
It def happened. I triple guarantee lol.
I believe this might be the hack I’m referring to (brief search)
I was fake busy in law school then. Or actually busy. Should've got into bitcoin back then when 2p2 was down.
I should have got into Bitcoin when I first heard about it on a Quadjacks Black Friday emergency broadcast back in April 2011. A guest panellist lady lawyer who was an expert on payments law suggested that the whole Black Friday thing would be the “first real life use case for Bitcoin”. The host asked “wtf is Bitcoin”. My memory is she explained it really well including how it couldn’t be shut down as it was decentralised. The other panellists mostly just passed over it and everyone instead wanted to know WILL I GET MY FTP MONEY and IS HOWARD LEDERER GOING TO JAIL. The only panelist who did seem to care was Bryan Micon who kept asking What’s this bitcoin thing? And HEY I WANNA KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS BITCOIN THING.
I have no regrets about not buying then. I was not mature enough to handle it. When I finally did eventually buy years later I thought fair play Bryan Micon you saw it instantly and must be minted.
After that hack, all passwords were nuked. Those of us who still had access to the e-mail address we signed up with were able to recover our accounts and reset our passwords. Many who had used school and other such temporary e-mails were not able to recover, and had to make new accounts.
Small businesses often juggle multiple responsibilities, from managing operations to handling customer relationships and finances. In the middle of all this, accounting and tax management can become stressful and time-consuming. Thatβs where a trusted CPA partner like Verderosa CPA becomes invaluable.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) helps businesses maintain accurate financial records, manage taxes efficiently, and stay compliant with changing regulations. More importantly, a CPA provides financial insights that help business owners make smarter decisions about budgeting, growth, and cash flow.
Working with experienced professionals such as Verderosa CPA can also reduce the risk of costly mistakes, missed tax deductions, or financial mismanagement. Instead of worrying about paperwork and accounting complexities, business owners can focus on growing their company and serving their customers.
In todayβs competitive business environment, having a reliable CPA partner is not just about tax filing itβs about building a stronger financial foundation for long-term success.
I keep getting fooled by the deleted last post bug.
Btc hovers around 70k, the top in the run before was 60-70k...are we at the bottom now? Possible.
This could be a short term bottom, unless it isn't.
The destiny for BTC is zero.
Today’s probably going to be a bloodbath, unless it’s not.
It's almost like BTC follows a 4 year cycle and performs poorly in post-halving years. Can anyone confirm?
lol and every time people say cycles are dead and its supercycle this time
but to be honest, it is a bit of hopium that the cycle theory does stay in tact. if true still another 12-18 months before good times can resume.
hodl strong.
zero is far fetched but $100 per btc might not be
Bitcoin market cap is < 1/3 of Nvidia's and ownership is relatively narrow. If it went to zero, the world would digest it easily.
And that's precisely why it will go to zero. The world has absolutely no need of it.
Why does the world need for you to be able to buy Nvidia speculation? What does that actually do for society?
I'm salivating for a $46,500 Bitcoin. I wonder the chances it goes this low.
Time to start accumulating? Or wait a little longer?
I think there's a decent chance we see the $30k-$40k range for the final low, probably sometime in quarter 4, before we start heading back up for the start of the next cycle.
Why does the world need for you to be able to buy Nvidia speculation? What does that actually do for society?
The world doesn't need me to be able to buy Nvidia.
But I own a PC with a Nvidia chip which provides some functionality and has now lasted me nearly 6 years, longer than any other PC I have ever owned.
Bitcoin doesn't have any identity beyond speculation. That's all it is.
