Trump Economy and Poker
About six years ago I put up a post pointing out that the good Trump economy was probably very good for the poker games
Jesus thatβs rough lmao
Are k-shaped economies good for poker, tho?
lol gottem
I'm not a big believer in K-Shaped economies. I'm more of a "rising tide lifts all boats" sort of person. And this should be easy to see. Suppose poor people are initially left out of a Trump K-shaped economy while the wealthier people do well. What then happens to the money that these wealthier make? In most cases it gets invested back into the economy and that should benefit v
Iβll agree with you that the rich getting richer can potentially help the poor, but someone sensible still needs to set the proper tax rates and actually abide by the tax laws for that to actually work in practice - which you could argue that we've done somewhat of a lackluster job or have at least reacted a little too slow funding the right programs.
If AI does end up taking away more jobs than it creates and the K economy gets worse, it wonβt be the middle class anymore and their payroll tax funding thins like ubi or uhc ... two thins which might end up becoming increasingly important in this new world.
the middle class is super important and they are definitely needed if we want to actually fund this stuff.
literally why the prize exists, it was theft from social services intended to build housing for the poor and it's not a nobel prize either, just an award allowed to be associated with the organization, not one of the actual awards.... they only allowed them to attach themselves to the estate of alfred nobel by paying off the organization millions of dollars to accept it, his d
I have a problem with this. What you quoted from me I didnβt write. And thatβs shameful.
Again, get to your ****ing point already
Anyone remember that time Mason banned a poster for posting a screenshot of a tweet from the official 2+2 account because he didn't remember making the tweet and thought the screenshot was fake? Spoiler: it wasn't. Fun times.
This Mason guy sucks.
It's really hard to take someone seriously when they said Trump policies would have a noticeably positive impact on the overall economy by now and can't just admit that was way off.

I need farmers, sewage workers, garbage men, truckers, shop owners, inventors and whole plethora of other specialists. I even need corporations and businesses to supply the things I need in this way of life we have created for ourselves. Nor do I mind that people do well for themselves under this system, and I hold no envy towards them. On the contrary, the majority of such people I meet impress me with how hard they work and I am mostly reminded of how little I want their life.
But no, I don't need the ever increasing ownership of the ultra-wealthy and their very bad cosplay of the nobility of times past, with all the power, perks, grandeur and flaws but none of the obligations.
When we rest our society's future on status that comes with no expectation or requirement of civic duty, the outcome is predictable and fatal.
I stopped playing 200z and 500z on Ignition a couple of years ago, as the volume of players dropped quite a bit and there was (is?) a known bot problem. However, MTTs on Ignition, Global, WPT are incredibly soft. American MTT fish have been tripping all over themselves to give me 200k over the past 5 months, which is why I'm so befuddled when people talk about online poker s
Thanks. I went there, deposited 100 (of their free chips, but real money, I guess, coins) and played there .05/.10/.20 (.5). I will certainly say the action, at least at those stakes, was just strange. I straddled for .20, the entire table called the straddle, and I squeeze-shoved AA (because I think I was doing something else or almost timed out or w/e) and got called by 66 and A10. It felt like a play money table and I had to double check that I was actually playing for real money, so I withdrew 20 and it hit my bank. I get that it's pee-wee stakes, but it was still a 60-dollar pot that would never have happened on ACR or bovada.
You should do something about your sociopathic lying and your issues dealing with respecting consent
Yep
Sucks to suck, sociopathic liar
Btw Mongo it’s quite strange you keep harping on what a woman asked me to do to them. Consent is important, its a shame you don’t agree
1. I’ve done so much more depraved ****, it’s comical you think I’m ashamed of any it
2. The one thing I haven’t done is get a woman so drunk or otherwise impaired that she can’t speak English much less say no
2a. Which of the two of us might be guilty of that?
Currently at Bellagio. Was reasonable action last night, but obviously WSOP can affect that. There were 3 80/160 lhe games going, which I do not believe is common. So I guess that’s good. Although to be fair they were playing just as many 100/200 games (and typically a 3/6 or 4/8 would pop off as well) at Bellagio during the Obama years. Hooray, Trump! But Obama’s economy was obviously better for poker.
