He's just so unbelievably cringe... He has all the free wine, asks Chance if he wants a glass.
Chance says he's retired
- Really?!
Yeah, almost 4 years now
And Neg's response is to just scream "Lame! hahahahhaha"
I mean he can't pick up on clues that maybe he's quit drinking because it was a problem, or choice, but either way to hit him with the "Lame" is just, it's just hard
Yea how dare people call someone who has lost for ten years a losing player. He wrote that chapter for Doyle when he was an elite player. What does that have to do with today? The guy is filthy rich and has a great life. He's too rich to care. He'd rather lose a million for the summer and win a bracelet than make money and have no bracelet. You can talk about why he's a losing pla
What's the evidence he has been losing for 10 years? Are you assuming his annual profit/loss figures he used to publish were false?
The evidence of him losing for the past 10 years are his own published results for the past 10 years. Are you people illiterate?

the duality of man
he's a dog in the field.sometimes dogs run well.
Nobody is saying he's a mouth breather with a -80 % roi long term.
It is difficult to win the PPC, even if you are lucky, being a significant dog to the field, due to the slow structure, etc. He may be a dog to the field in $100K+ super high rollers, but not at lower levels. That is why his totals are negative.

I never seen your previous post detailing how much you thought he was down over the past 10 years.
Saying someone has been losing for 10 years is different from someone being stuck over that period. It suggests he has been a consistent losing which results contradict.
If this year Linus were to lose all his profit from the previous 10 years you wouldn't say Linus has been losing for 10 years. That's just silly.
Also LOL at including the Polk match. People really do get their littles panites in a twist over DN.

no. we're assuming they're true. and based on his own reporting he's down over that period.
"Saying someone has been losing for 10 years is different from someone being stuck over that period. It suggests he has been a consistent losing which results contradict."
Lmao it's the same thing. he's lost most of those years and is down over those ten years.
His results are terrible over the last decade.

obviously it's difficult. Even the very best player might be 2-3 percent to win. Whoever wins it got super lucky. They have a better chance than a dog, but short term luck is still the biggest factor in who wins it.

Right, you have to get lucky, but hard to win that if you are significantly EV- in that field.
You also need to get lucky to take 2nd in $1M buyin tournament. Lucky to have the 4th most PGT 1st places. He just has a high luck coefficient.
He may be losing at super high rollers, but who plays them in NLHE and PLO and the PPC besides him and Ivey?

If you go from 2017 onwards it looks like he is up slightly though as far as I am aware the exact figures for 2024-2026 are not public.
Almost all of his losses have come from 2023 onwards so saying he has been losing the last 4 years is correct. Saying he has been losing 10 years seems like you are using a convenient sample size to fit your narrative. If you use a bigger sample size (14 years) then he all of a sudden becomes a winning player!
Anyway I want to avoid going round in circles as I genuinely thought his results showed he was up the past 10 years but I never had all the information at the time. Plus I am far from a DN fanboy so feels strange fighting his corner.

What?
Also I think Danny picked up the bottle again quite a while ago.
Hell yeah, I personally love overlooking glaring character flaws put on display for the whole world to see for years on end because of "content". All you haters who just don't appreciate content are jealous of how rich and successful he is.
On a related personal note, I eat crayons

I am not a fanboy. Don't like his vlogs. I guess you can't say anything about his personal life these days. I just think you all are jealous and to are totally misrepresenting his tournament record.

hi Mason
He's had more success in the last 3-4 years than he had the 10 years prior. He got absolutely dusted when he was playing the EPT high rollers back in the 201X years, and went from 2013 to 2021 without a tournament win.
He has 4x the starting stack early in the $1.5K Stud8. You usually see him with a lot of chips in the $10K and lower events, particularly non-NLHE non-PLO high. He may have been playing too high, but he can definitely crush at a certain level. Nothing like a 150 bowler.

lol@ might be.

He actually has almost a 10x starting stack in Stud 8, and is in the top 10 at the start of Day 2.
I think regardless of what you think of his play, you need to admire his work ethic to be able to bust from the final table of a $25k event and immediately enter and crush Day 1 of a $1.5k.
This is what people enjoy his vlog for; it's really the only opportunity for most poker fans to get a sense of everything that going on at the WSOP every day from the standpoint of a player who is willing to play every event, and simultaneously learn about every game. I always skip over the stuff from his home life, but there really hasn't been all that much of it this year anyway.
Also, his team now has a pretty big lead in the $25k Fantasy thanks to Arieh, which he sometimes seems to care about more than his own results. To be fair, winning that pays out more than winning a bracelet in a lot of events.
Daniel screws everything up when he has a big cash.
Day 31 -$726,350
Day 32 -$574,896
I'm starting to think Daniel is not going to get to his usual 7 figures in losses.

Yea obviously if you go back to when everyone sucked and he wasn't filthy rich from endorsements already he was a top tier player. nobody has said otherwise. High rollers he can't resist as a huge dog also didn't exist back then. As the games get tougher and he's even richer he'll become more of a losing player.
