Tamba will be closed by 2027.

Obviously it was going to pricey, but nothing better than the great Indian food in Cali, NY, or Texas.

I am not one to agree with Balbomb about all of these restaurants being overrated, but except for a few... I am now tending to agree.

Possibly, but I found it a genuinely solid experience, and it is a lot closer of a drive for me than Cali, NY, or Texas. That said, at the price point, I've only been there once. I'm just not eating out very often w my young kids, and I'd have to know a client really well before taking them for Indian at Town Square when I have a billion easier and safer options.

Cantina Contramar was phenomenal, everything was 10/10 (maybe 8.5/10 for the soup). Must try. $330 for 2 with tip including two drinks each. Expensive but worth it.

Maroon was incredible and we didn’t even get any steak. Will have to go back soon to fire up more of the menu.

Colada cocktail - 9.5/10
Coco bread - 9/10 great but SW and Boa reign supreme on the bread
Crab cake - 9.5/10
Jerk chicken - 11/10 maybe best grilled chicken I’ve ever had
Branzino - 8.5/10
Fried sea bass - 10/10
Crawfish mashed potatoes - 10/10
Key lime (soursop) pie - 9/10
Mango dessert - 9.5/10

I noticed they raised the prices on some dishes substantially compared to the first week menus posted on yelp. Porterhouse now $210 instead of $140, NY strip $125 instead of $90, etc. kind of annoying on that front but it is what it is. Food is amazing, just go.

Maroon jacked up their prices a second time so that’s a big negative. Half the menu went up 50% after it already went up 50% before. There’s pictures on Yelp of the opening week pricing. Now the cheapest steak is $110 and some items have doubled. The already expensive $80 jerk chicken is now $120. Weak.

é has a new chef (The former executive chef at L'atelier). I wasn't planning on going this summer, but will probably hit it up as it sounds like they will have new courses.

Booked for August.

I have an 815 res for 2 at Din Tai tonight(Mon). My buddy had to bail as he’s in a cg at Wynn and highly unlikely he’d make it

Din Tai told me it was abusing their reservation system to change from a 2 to 1, 4 to 2 etc one of my last trips, so floating the offer for one person to join me. It gets comped so we can flip for the tip and just don’t order like a total d***head

Not much to say for me, generally get along w most ppl.

Mod I guess you can remove this part if no bueno but since there’s only 1:15 til the res I’ll try checking msgs here but I set up a temp number I’ll delete after tonight (407) 439-4991

Best steakhouse in Vegas for a party of the 2 best friends that anyone’s ever had?

I’m guessing that the most expensive =! the best steakhouse.

Maybe there’s a “secret of the pros” type steakhouse; that’s basically what I’m looking for.

We’d either get porterhouse for two or both get a filet mignon afaik. Elite sides would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance.

Toca Madera:

Hamachi (I could eat 10 orders of these babies)
Ceviche
Arracherra tacos (ask for side of fresh wasabi for these, game changer)
Caesar salad (best anywhere, add carne asada if you’re feeling frisky)
NY strip (best in Vegas for non-Wagyu cut)
Street corn side
Brown butter cake dessert

Bonus - it’s on InKind if you want a 25-35% discount.

Double bonus - fire eating hot dancer chicks if you’re there at the right time

Bazaar meat if you want truly elite sides and small plates.

+1 for Bazaar meat for quality but it’s pricey! A REALLY good cut for two with sides and everything you are looking at $5-600, drinks not included.

A second option is Bavettes, the price is much better and their filet mignon is absolutely amazing.

I've been to Bavettes multiple times and never had a bad meal there.
My last trip , I ate at Dons Prime and had one of the best Ribeye I've ever eaten.

SW at the Wynn

RE: Steak.

Any love for Fleming's ITT? Or Echo & Rig? I mention them because they are on the more affordable side. Both places were really good times for me.

Bazaar meat is awesome, but not really a porterhouse and filet type of experience.

My Golden Steer reservation I made nearly 6 months ago is finally coming up next week.

For those that have been there, any suggestions on what to order? Obviously getting a steak but which cut is best there? My wife is allergic to shellfish so obv. no lobster, crab, shrimp, etc.

Will probably get a big steak, a salad, two sides and a dessert to share..

Echo and Rig is great for the price, get the skirt steak. You can bring your own wine with no corkage fee. It’s also on InKind so you can get 25-35% off using that to pay after buying InKind gift cards from Costco.

Let’s talk about some dinners from my recent Vegas trip.

Best Friend

Not sure if this is quite fine dining, but it’s one of the better values on the Vegas strip. We’ve been a few times before so skipped the tasting and went for a few favorites à la carte.

Banchan Sampler - legit the best banchan I’ve ever had at a KBBQ restaurant.

Korean wings - sauce with these was excellent

Uni Dynamite rice - probably my favorite single dish on their menu

Kimchi Carbonara

These dishes along with a couple cocktails and some dessert, plus tax and tip came in at $200

Gymkhana

We only got 3 dishes plus cocktails here, but this place is amazing. Will be a must return to spot on our list.

Wagyu Naan

Lamb Marsala Chops - possibly the best dish we had this entire trip, but you certainly pay for them. Can’t say these are a great value at $95.

Venison Biryani - easy to see why this is their signature dish.

Total with tax and tip was $355. Not pictured is that wife and I each got two cocktails with this meal.
