Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

Rice critical of what others do in their spare time. They could walk empty athletic fields/golf courses while eating pocket bread or hang out in parking garages or gas station parking lots.

Miserable losers simply have too much spare time on their hands before retirement.

That is going to be a problem since the New Anti Nomad Clark County law makes it illegal to eat on or in a car thus making trunk dining prohibited and to sleep in a parking garage unless with the express written permission of the private property owner. It also makes it illegal to have blankets and pillows setup in a vehicle in Clark County.

Trooper beating his chest again on twitter about how amazing he is. Apparently he makes the best damn brittle and pralines that the world has ever seen.

No one worked harder than him during the WSOP where he got freerolled into the main, and now no one works harder at making candy. Such a lolcow!

I can see how Rice thinks $2k a month is enough. It would be enough for me. But I am just living until I die.

If he is retired he won't even need a car or insurance. He can just Uber wherever he wants to go once a week.

As for healthcare I paid $0 for health care the last two years. I don't recommend it. But I am guessing for $100/month I could have had decent insurance, at least by my standards. I also spent a week in the hospital In 2024.

I could have serious health issues but I don't care to know.

ELD walks in the parking lot and gives a shout out to Spanky and Ace and recounts his bad month in 2024 without specifically acknowledging the Red Rock
Massacre.

ELD also urges viewers to join his Patreon where at least one post per month will be a free post.

ElD recounts his bad month in 2024 without specifically acknowledging the Red Rock Massacre.

Because Rice did not play >100 hours of poker during the Red Rock Massacre month of August, that month doesn't count as a possible worse month of poker for Rice in 2024.
Rice always finds a way to exclude the whole truth when he gives out partial stats.

I don't know your background; or even if this is a serious post. But (a) a retiree should have healthcare and (b) $2,000/month budget is f*cked.

Healthcare is my biggest concern as I plan an early retirement. I'm in shape (workout 4-5 times a week, hike/backpack 2-3 weekends a month (climbing mountains is my jam and what I plan to spend the early years of my retirement doing), and weigh 140 pounds. Yet, somehow, was blessed with Type-2 diabetes a decade or so ago . . . (yes, I know, Twitter and the Internet make it clear that I should be able to "reverse it," but I guess I'm too lazy to try . . .). I really have no idea what healthcare will cost before 65. Assuming the ACA remains relatively intact, I understand its quite variable depending on level of coverage, premiums and income. But I'm mapping out $1,500 to $2,000 per month just for healthcare. I estimate another $750/month just for groceries... Then there is gas, utilities, cable, phone . . . And of course, housing. Even if you own a place, you have property taxes and possibly HOA, etc.

Even assuming you can keep your healthcare costs low, $2,000 would likely barely cover necessities and would leave zero room for discretionary spending. Why shoot for that goal? Put some effort into making something of yourself for 20-30 years and then reap the rewards. Particularly if you've got the advantage of an Ivy League education and a law degree.

Thinking you can live of $2,000/month is f*cken absurd unless you want to spend the rest of your life living like a vagrant (which, for ED, is kinda on point).

If Rice wants to make a compelling vlog, he should tell us what happened to him that made him give up on life. That, I would watch past the first 30 seconds . . .

PS - Rice is really selling his print pay content, forcing you to buy his "news letter" if you want his full results. Guy understands marketing. And the future of social media...

ELD stated it all started his third semester of law school wherein ELD discovered the legal system is a scam (judges make up whatever they want) and poker is a meritocracy:

Nah. There has to be more to his collapse than a moot court judge who did not get "the rubric." No one quits on life because of something like that.

Given Rice's mental state, that moot court judge could have triggered a mass shooting on campus. Quitting on life was probably the easiest path to take, most other options would have required effort and wouldn't have recognized Rice as the smartest guy to ever stand in a parking garage.

Guy a few offices down from me went to Cornell undergrad and then law school at American. I feel like I should turn him on to Rice. He'd likely be happy to know he's not Cornell's most disappointing alum . . . Well, aside from Andy Bernard....

Rice is working the banhammer hard recently, everyone posting negative comments gets banned or shadowbanned including myself.

All that is left is highfiving comments aka echochamber, wich Rice seems to enjoy. Its easy to underperform or live like a loser when you dont have to face any critcism about life choices.

It's all the "wrongs" he's faced in his life. Him not getting a promotion despite being the best at the job. Jobs underpaying his check cause Diesel doesn't understand how overtime pay works. The apartment complex not giving him his security deposit back despite leaving the place in pristine condition as he has shown with his hotel rooms he's stayed in except for his hair shavings he leaves in the bathroom so housekeeping knows/forced to clean it.

Diesel is always right. Everyone else is wrong and miserable haters.

This is a guy that has a yearly goal NOT to use any plastic bags to save the environment.

His mental state is all over the place. 95% of people know when you say something like "no one cares about your laundry expense" they don't literally mean exactly 100% of the world population but not Diesel. It's an absolute affront for you to speak for the others and how could you speak for the exact 100% of the world population cause obviously that's wrong and silly and will be included in the next installment of mean wrong stupid comments vlog cause what you said is so mind boggling.

Early on, I kept telling my friend "no way Diesel has to be trolling". There's no way anyone even with autism could think like this. It really is fascinating how he spins everything to make himself look great while also every miserable hater look bad.

It's probably why he will never give out his current hourly win rate cause then people could accurately quote that number as being laughably low and Diesel will not be able to counter it as being wrong. Cause in Diesel's mind, if he's making $8.51/hr and people quote $8.50, you're so wrong and will be included in the next vlog so he can make fun of you.

by prairiebreeze k

Life is for living, not existing.

Diesel wants to exist.

The rest of us want to live. ..... life is so goddamn precious and he does NOTHING with it..

Thanks for sharing this; it reminded me that the hours I spent playing 1/3 poker were wasted. It was my life for a couple of years, made easier by the fact that the poker room had amazing food.

Luckily I've been able to catch up by getting a new dog and LIVING, doing fun and cool sh*t! Camping every weekend from June-Sept, getting great food at bars, tasting beers, swimming in lakes and cold rivers, cooking yummy food, seeing the stars in the night sky and beauty of my state, walking/running my dog 2x a day every single day, heck even playing video games.

It also helps that I have the best job of my entire life, making 26bb/hr at home and being able to play hooky whenever I want. I drive a 10+ year old car, buy meat in bulk and freeze it. Going to have a lovely pork chop today!

The ability to freeze bulk meat may be the biggest humble brag in the history of this thread. Well done, sir!

In keeping with the spirit of Rice, most of my meat was bought on clearance - I also have a bunch of weed in there!

Also, to somewhat reverse the brag, I work contract so my current lifestyle is only funded until end of year, but I'm fully taking advantage of the opportunity.

I'm done doing things I never had any interest in, that I hated, that required me to work around the clock, that I was doing better than almost everyone else by the way, that they kept changing the rules on me to make sure I lost, that bled me of my time and money: undergrad, grad school, law school, and working full-time in IT.

If they ever do a remake of Falling Down...

I do like his reference to working full-time in IT, all seven months he worked in IT.

Maybe that’s why views are down? He’s banning everyone?

LOL what a moron. Haters are where your views come from bro.

People have already seen how dumb he is for free… who of right mind would PAY actual money for a premium level of dumbness?

I literally bought half a cow just 2 weeks ago. It occupies one of my 3 freezers in my garage.

Got it all dressed up from porterhouses to ground beef, roasts, soup bones, all of it.

It is THE way.

Bike king has been fixing up another van to live in I guess? Anyway now he’s teasing a return on Instagram

There's a short youtube video as well with some OTT voiceover about him making a brilliant laydown with QQ....on a board that seems to include JJK.

If they ever do a remake of Falling Down...

I do like his reference to working full-time in IT, all seven months he worked in IT.

When I was a young associate, there were literally countless times some ass*hole partner would come into my office on a Friday and dump some "emergency" on my desk that required I work the weekend . . . or give me a deadline that forced me to work all night (like, literally all night . . . as in not going home and just working the following day in the same clothes). Invariably, whatever I was doing would not even be looked at by the partner for days. But you dealt with it because that's what young associates did. And if you did not like it, you quit.
Rice's trauma seems to be over far less egregious issues. Perhaps he's just not cut out for the grind. Which is OK. But there had to have been a soft landing place between that and where he is now.

BTW . . . Gen Z in general seems to lack the work ethic that made people successful in previous decades. The Work/Life Balance has tilted insanely toward life. Which again is fine. But it's rich when they also complain about not being able to afford things anymore . . . Don't bet me started (at least anymore started than I am 😉. And yes, I'm old I guess.

He has an aversion to work and is deeply committed to a forgettable existence, leaving this world a worse place than when he got here.

He stacks Ls like we stack chips.

I get him not wanting to be a lawyer. Almost every lawyer I know is miserable.

But it's his entire "I'm the smartest and best at everything but the world is out to get me " mindset is insane.

Especially in light of his making poverty wages for years on end.

But hey the only options in life according to him are make a lot of money but spend more than you make or make next to nothing and live like a homeless person.
