Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

This vlogger and this vlog is ****ing amazing. If you haven’t seen it, watch it right now. One of the most honest and gut wrenching things about poker you will ever see. Amazing.

Ya…no. If you have seen Corey in his other videos, you know this is a kid with a lot of family support, hence he’s out there seemingly risking his whole financial ruin.

Just some kid doing whatever he wants and live a cushy life even if he fails.

Lol it's a clickbait gimmick to get views. If you have followed him from the beginning you will know that he's constantly talking about risking his net worth in every single vlog, not once has he actually done it.

I get him not wanting to be a lawyer. Almost every lawyer I know is miserable.

But it's his entire "I'm the smartest and best at everything but the world is out to get me " mindset is insane.

Especially in light of his making poverty wages for years on end.

But hey the only options in life according to him are make a lot of money but spend more than you make or make next to nothing and live like a homeless person.

Gross income doesn’t matter, it’s all about that net savings at the end of the year baby!! I mean anyone who makes $150K+/year couldn’t possibly keep themselves from spending every penny they make, that’s just common sense.

Ok thanks to everyone for setting me straight on Corey. And apologies. I didn’t know that’s his shtick. It is a good shtick. It definitely fooled me. Sorry to have spammed the board with his spam.

Exactly. Rice has turned his life into one big challenge to see just how frugally he can live and get by with almost no income and still manage to be a net saver each year. He has convinced himself that this is the pinnacle of success in a man's life. He scoffs in derision at people foolishly striving to earn more money when all they need to do is just spend less.

Don't beat yourself up about it too much. Everyone strays from the rubric once in a while.

New (to me) Vegas poker vlogger “Gainz” poker.

There are plenty of career options for someone with a law degree who doesn’t want to practice law. Your legal training provides critical thinking, research, writing, and analytical skills that are valuable in many fields.

Except poker.

I don't know your background; or even if this is a serious post. But (a) a retiree should have healthcare and (b) $2,000/month budget is f*cked.

Healthcare is my biggest concern as I plan an early retirement. I'm in shape (workout 4-5 times a week, hike/backpack 2-3 weekends a month (climbing mountains is my jam and what I plan to spend the early years of my retirement doing), and weigh 140 pounds. Yet, somehow, was blessed with Type-2 diabetes a decade or so ago . . . (yes, I know, Twitter

You don't FAFO with diabetes. Get that ish under control. You could lose a foot, you could go blind, you could have a heart attack. It doesn't really matter what shape you're in, it matters what you consume.

Vlogger Cowlazer reports on using electronic roulette to earn Diamond tier to avoid homelessness:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGr3wHDW...

Anyone have any idea the expected loss using this method?

ELD reports towards the end of the video he is asked if he is a body builder and is told he has great calves.

Likely from hauling heavy nomadic supplies from parking garage to his room multiple times.

I liked his mathematical breakdown. "You breakeven on each spin most of the time" lol

5.26315789% of your total wager is the expected loss. Each tier credit costs about 54 cents using this method. To get 15,000 credits for diamond you can expect to lose $8,120.30

It's all the "wrongs" he's faced in his life. Him not getting a promotion despite being the best at the job. Jobs underpaying his check cause Diesel doesn't understand how overtime pay works. The apartment complex not giving him his security deposit back despite leaving the place in pristine condition as he has shown with his hotel rooms he's stayed in except for his hair shavings he leaves in the bathroom so housekeeping knows/forced to clean it.

Diesel is always right. Everyone else is wron

This post deserves some love. Absolutely spot on regarding how Rice is operating, and how he copes with his life.

If this is combined with the Caesars Visa card which gives 5,000 tier points per year and then a 10X day only 1,000 tier points need to be earned.

This could reduce the cost to $526

This would pay for itself after 10 nights of nomadic stay at Harrahs.

I'm done doing things I never had any interest in, that I hated, that required me to work around the clock, that I was doing better than almost everyone else by the way, that they kept changing the rules on me to make sure I lost, that bled me of my time and money: undergrad, grad school, law school, and working full-time in IT.

Sure, I'd love to work doing only the things I liked. But I found that good-paying jobs where I just jerked off, watched tv, and drank beer were in short supply. If I wanted a roof over my head, my belly full, and my bills paid, I was going to have to do something that I didn't much like to do, when I didn't really want to do it.

When I was a young associate, there were literally countless times some ass*hole partner would come into my office on a Friday and dump some "emergency" on my desk that required I work the weekend . . . or give me a deadline that forced me to work all night (like, literally all night . . . as in not going home and just working the following day in the same clothes). Invariably, whatever I was doing would not even be looked at by the partner for days. But you dealt with it because that's what y

I'll bet Diesel did no research on that IT job before he took it. All he cared about was that it required little or no knowledge and training. Which means that job was in IT support, the guys that run cable, plug in your pc and switch it on, that help out with major software upgrades, and like that. The guys you bug when your computer doesn't work. Since the network or computers have to be off or unavailable, obviously the work has to be done after-hours. It's the nature of that type of job.

This sounds more realistic. Sure, some years I got lucky and made 1500-2000 profit, and some years I lost several thousand. But when a newbie asks how much it will cost him to make Diamond, there's always someone that says about $415.

Is it really per year? Or only the first year?

ElD sure has a thing about random people telling him he has great calves.

Why do you keep comparing Rice to the Olympians of personal success?

He is competing in the Special Olympics.

The terms "hobo", "tramp", and "bum" are sometimes considered offensive because they can perpetuate harmful stereotypes. A hobo is a migratory laborer who travels and is willing to work, while a tramp travels but avoids work if possible.

Rice would get more views if he changed his name to Poker Hobo.

GPI Awards really need a Best Calves Award. Rice would probably edge out Marle for the trophy.

Diesel has done it again. The best traveler in the world.

Lol lol lol, you cant make this shyt up!
