[WPT Global] Official Thread
Hi 2+2ers,
Welcome to the official WPT Global thread!
WPT Global makes poker players’ dreams come true in associati
Just caught the end of a 100/200/400 HU match, 14k rake paid over exactly 100 hands. Around 40bb/100 in rake after the table starter promotion. You must literally hate money to be reg battling HU on this site
They only have rake structure for 2-4 and 5-8 hands. I only play HU for 4-5 mins then if no one join I will quit.

It's obscene. Gas lighting people who are non the wiser to play HU with the table starter 'promotion', while charging 6-8x the rake any other site does. Even vs the worst of VIPs, HU is barely beatable.
Alex, how can you guys justify this? These are the players starting tables and driving traffic on your site.
3rd time this has happened since the new update. All my drivers are up to date and I'm running v2.2 via the link you gave.
Button is still an issue as well. I get it's xmas/NY but it's difficult to fathom this couldn't have been pushed in a hotfix after 2 weeks when the previous version had this working as normal. It's not a good look when it's messing with peoples money regardless of time of year.

Why is there 2 goldenturtles? Is this a fanboy or cheating?
I mean one is goldenturtlo, the other is goldenturtle
Was there any strange play between the two? Slowplaying or going into their shell when the other raised?
Yes, this goldenturtle is known to be mega wild yet somehow is unfiltered over 800k hands and winning massively is a huge red flag. There were couple hands that raised my suspicion between regs played against him and they always seem be on the short end of the stick and coolered by him.
To lower the suspicion he usually then punts back to recreationals and posts a few massive losses, but im fairly confident hes winning massively on the app. No way the way he plays its sustainable for 800k+ hands and somehow always wins when drawing vs regs in massive pots.
A hand where both of them were in made it super sketch. Reg Iso AA, goldenturtle calls 2 recreational call and this goldenturtlo calls as well. Flop 962 with flush draw checks to reg, he bets half pot, golden snap folds and only this goldenturtlo calls. Turn off suit 5, reg bet gets it in and goldenturtlo has 34s. It may seem like a cooler, but considering how this golden plays he never folds when he somewhat connects on the board yet somehow this time he folds a pair? Its super sketch because if he called flop, turn and river they would be getting it in instead of the reg piling AA.

Pass it on to support along with any details that can help them and see what happens.
Also i got news from other HS regs that his account name used to be Solarvpoker or something like that yet somehow he can change his username to now be known as goldenturtle? Really really sketch
I never played on WPT and therefore unfamiliar with how they operate but if I did play here I would avoid tables where they are playing. Could you confirm if it is true that WPT charges players after reporting players a few times?

He calls j2s pre and gets it in OTF. This hand here 30k deep he isos a reg and calls a massive 3.5k 3b then jams him OTF. Small sample run good sure, but long term no way this works 800k+ hands the way he plays, yet somehow hes winning massively
I'd be really curious to see his results... all I could say after playing against him a bunch is that he sure is one of a kind.
He could be a 15 year old russian drug lord, a 90 year old retired korean chef or a strangely coded action inducing bot and none of those would surprise me.

Hes a professional poker player, not a fish. He tries to play like one but hes a pro that is why there is a lot of suspicion hes cheating of some sort. He's doxxed, offers coaching and has his own social media. I don't think its a coincidence regs always get the short end of the stick vs him in massive pots, and punts to recs to look crazy/splashy in front of regs. I'm fairly confident this guy is killing it pre RB on the app, yet somehow he has access to all games. He also had an account named solarvpoker from what I heard, which he somehow managed name change to goldenturtle. Everything just seems mega sus about this player.
Anyone else posting saying that the table starter rakeback isn’t correct?
I just don’t understand how it can be.
I open sit lobby’s at 25/50/100 and 10/20/40
Most of my action is 50/100 also maybe 75%
I’m getting 2/3/400$ a week.
Just don’t see how this makes sense considering was around $2000 a week before they took away rakeback

You are wrong. Goldenturtle is not winning player even big loosing player. If you have HSP tag you will understand, he still can see and join any tables when HSPs does's not see it.
And your thought about he is always winning the big pots is also wrong. Because you have bias about him, so you only remember when he win, and forget when he loose. It's like you have AA and allin with KK 10 times, you only remember 2 times you loose but forget 8 times you win.
And as what I remember there are 2 fan boys of him not only 1, both goldenturxxx. And 1 account can change name 1 time, and I heard someone can change name second time if they have reasonable reason.
Never seen GoldenTurtle down less than 2 buy-ins at a table, was always curious how he stayed in business. Plus he goes to 200/400 and plays killers HU whenever he has enough to sit.
I do love that conspiracy though - he decided to collude with a friend, and they decided on "GoldenTurtlo" as the name to do it under.

That's what he wants you to think that he's wild af at the tables but its not sustainable for 800k+ hands and majority of them in HS. He always wins when he piles vs regs and balances it out by punting back to recs. I've seen numerous hands he just piles random trash vs recs, but when its up against regs, his range is almost always value heavy and hands are super disguised to make sure the reg can't fold.

Like I said, his style is unsustainable for 800k+ hands. You see him stuck maybe 500str on a table but other tables hes up 1000str. If you played his style for 800k hands you'd probably be down 8 digits.
@AlexanderY do you have some kind of proof about the fact that he's a winning player? Apart from your confidence ofc
Also curious about his social media, can you maybe pm me a link?
Thanks
I strongly suspect he's a super user because he grinds non-stop, and no high-stakes player (HSP) usually grinds stakes like 100/200/400, 5/10/20, and even 2/4/8 all at once. It almost seems like he has a "quota" for the number of hands he needs to play to trigger hacks, which would explain his intense volume. Additionally, no one on the WPT surpasses golden in terms of hands played, and no other high-stakes player touches low stakes as frequently as golden does. I can't fathom any 100200400 HSP player playing 248 in which 248 buyin is literally a straddle in 100200400. No "pros" ever do that in real life.
He is youtuber not fish, I think he is winning player, you can search "solapoker", he is have 10k sub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEBb9GNy... Timestamp 23min to 25min. He's grinding 2 accounts solarpoker1 and goldenturtle. Clearly, goldenturtle has superpowers backing him up in WPT, multi-accounts should be banned on WPT, yet he has no consequences for doing so. and blatantly posting it on youtube. In addition, golden has over 500k usd in his account, sure, this is required to play high stakes, but to have that amount of funds on any poker site everyday without a sweat

We changed his username over a year ago - this isn't usually permitted but in this case, was done on our side for internal reasons. He has never played on both accounts at the same time.
Thanks to those in this thread for their continued feedback on the client, there's another update coming in a few days which includes more fixes for the remaining UX issues.

Dear Alex,
Did you get a chance to read my DM? Thank you so much,
Happy new years
