It seems like there's a lot of conflict and unhappiness in the world these days. It gets me down. One of the few things

Had a scare with Winston the other day. Lost all stability in his hind legs, and couldn't walk around. Didn't finish his breakfast. He just lay down in the middle of the floor and rolled on his side. My brother (his actual owner) makes an appointment with the Vet to come put him down the next day. Naturally I was a blubbering mess, and started cooking up a storm for his last day. bacon, turkey, chicken livers etc.

About 11pm, I hear him go out the dog door and start barking!! Next morning, he's at my brothers waiting for breakfast. Walking around like nothing happened. Cancelled Vet.
I wonder if Winston knows how close he came?

I posted earlier about my dog having vestibular disease. He's only had two episodes and they were shorter (although the first one I went to the emergency vet as it was the middle of the night. they gave him anti nausea meds, so maybe that's why it was a shorter episode). Scared the crap out of me. Not saying it's the same thing, but it sounds similar. I decided not to do more tests as if it is caused by a brain tumor, then there's likely nothing they can do.

I'm a little worried at how quickly your brother jumped the gun on that one :( Calling the vet to see what's wrong is one thing; calling the vet to automatically put the dog down w/o figuring out what's wrong is another.

If your brother doesn't want to figure out what's wrong first, bring Winston to me.

I have had a lot of dogs, and some have had a lot of problems, but most were fixed or the dog was comfortable for a long time after diagnosis. It can be expensive, but that's part of having pets in your life!

This is where we are with Winston. He's been on doggie hospice for quite awhile.

That makes me feel better 😀

Nice run of cute pets here.

Brother & SIL just rescued a goldendoodle. she said Honey is 5-6 years old, the breeder didn't want her any more.

Haven't seen her live yet, not sure what the above really means. Reminds me of their dog before, who was a labradooodle.

I'm assuming it means the breeder worked her for all she was worth. They're doing god's work!

A goldendoodle should be right in your wheelhouse!

jrr, notice the missing close bracket (]) on the image tag.

Tom,

Yep, I think it will work out well for them. I imagine she'll come to stay once in a while.

I think it's because it's using that iphone format, heic

I wondered about the HEIC. Typical of Apple to create its own format that's a pain for others 😉 There is free conversion software that works well.

you can also copy and paste instead of using the insert image tool

I added the ending bracket - wonder if that helps?

Edit: Nope. Oh well, I tried. Lol

I'm trying PDF Paw but doesn't seem to let me transfer the file to 2+2 - which software do you know of that works with a MAC?
