Mix game journey
Having had three years of experience in mix games ranging from getting raked to death at $4/8 to shot taking three times
What happened my mixed game enthusiast pro player
Where are the updates and reports on the players
I can't play without knowing the latest trends in LV mixed games $80/$160 to $300-$600.
It's been a month. I had some legal issues but not a big deal. I was told to stick to poker on this forum.
I just came home, back from southpoint. we had 3 full tables (scheduled 4) of 20-40 half kill O8 going. I went cuz I have fomo. played 7 hours and was stuck $200 most and up $400 most. in the end lost $32, paid lil over $100 in time rake. my table was average, the main game is quite fabulous but I never got in.
Yesterday I played the SP 50-100 o8/o-hi game briefly before playing live werewolf. I got hit w the deck and won 4 straight hi pots; that was sick - I could've won six straight if I chased my wrap on a pair board and played my rush.
In the past month I played 2 weeks of 80-160 at Bellagio and won 16k initially with a few small losses here and there; and then lost 15k straight in the next three sessions. The loss is aggravated by the fact that I punted about 5k here and there, including a couple thousand to nick milgrom through bad play. He is a fabulous tourney player but certainly yum yum in cash games and losing a big number to him is quite mentally disturbing. What I learned most is the gulf between me and the top pros like Peter rho and Aditya prasetyo. I have a looooong way to go. Until I can have consistent 10k upswings in the 80 game, I have not made it. I'd give a lot to be successful in those streets. I mean they are the ones that were weeded out by the pre-covid Bellagio 2-400 games so it's unfair to compare myself to them but this is the competition and I have to be skilled like them.
plo cash has been going great. I don't think I lost a single session last month. I don't bother to check now - gf is using my phone; off the top of my head - I just crush plo (even in Vegas). funnily I was stuck some number in the 5/10 big bet mix home game but plo was the game that got me unstuck 😀 A notable session was the rock game at aria (btw both encore n aria changed the rock game to be 5-10-rock($20)) - I won a lil bit in 1/2 plo and got called to the rock game where two of my German friends were playing. I sat down and won 4 straight pots and left. (I would've won my next hand as well - K662ds but I was disciplined enough to fold cuz one of the "headphone during cash game" guy limped and I strongly suspect aces for limp-pot.) During the previous session, I had a one-time prop bet (so the bet is off this session) with one of the German players that I was not going to fold any double suited hands preflop in the cash game - if I do fold I have to give him $100 per hand.
werewolf game has been going well. I modded a couple - I like throwing Cupid in the mix. I had a few very strong wins and I can't remember making a substantial mistake like being the huntress and shooting the wrong person etc.
300/600 - lost 8k last month - ran bad in 2 coinflips and that sums it up. crazy mike been killing the game last I heard. David baker and Jen harman go to aria and play mj Gonzalez's nl game so crazy doesn't have his own game to play - I can't be bothered. I'm trying to retire Eli elezra at 80-160 just to get r4p3333d by milgrom. I loathe myself. but again, I have to emphasize nick is a fantastic tournament player.
money loaning - so so awful. have some faith I guess. One tourney kid is quitting Vegas as he told me and tries to get a job and pay back the $9700. He lost around 100 dimes in the pit last year apparently.
tournament. unlike cash games, I can pull up tourney results on my spreadsheet on my laptop -

I am up TWENTY DOLLARS. deep run in the no limit tournament but jammed A2suited with no fold equity vs the eventual winner Chase's 99. I just wanna win, I take the aggressive route whenever possible. 11th is so demoralizing. I was chip leading w 18 left and lost a big flip TT v 57 on 469r - then got hit hard AQ < KK. I mean these ppl overfold so much. I can jam blind and no one except Chase imo would call correctly, which makes my 3! jam w 9 bigs even worse. The average was like 15 bigs with 11 ppl left. Anyway. Didn't win. Then I played one hand in the pgt 3k nl and got flush over flushed by cary Katz on flop then extra late regged (after reg has closed) the 2-7 tournament. I had 25% of the chips w 10 left, and finished 8th..... busted a person I like play w too (Peter Augustine). So ridiculous. but I just try to bulldoze the field and win the 10k. fuxking hell. In the wynn millions I 4! jammed 33s 50 bigs deep and 2x pot jammed river 6 high river but eventually 5! jammed AQ into AA sb v button 80 bigs deep left myself short and AK
on the year I am up around $20k. but I'd take a losing year to have the loaned out money back. Jesus Christ.
there must be something else going on in my life. but stick to poker on the forum as I am told. so, Win!
Why is rock popular in Vegas? BBA would be more action and bigger game
hv to share this
i went off and cussed heavy at this drunk dude in the $600 bigo tour at wynn
i think the whole room is on my side and the floor didnt give me any penalty for going off and making a scene....
love to see the footage
Thanks for updates.
Nick M is an average player, but Crazy Mike might be the worst & definitely the most annoying player in LV mixed games.
There’s a reason he’s been broke 10x over…

there's something to be said about being good at both cash n tours and i hate to lose to tournament players in cash games! ive spoken to him about icms and he is pretty goated, at least at the 600-1500$ buyin level
i told him imma print out a french flag w his face on it if he fts the ppc.
i've heard more than my fair share of Crazy's stories
i certainly am not as interested compared to when i first stepped into the circle.
i do run twice w him unfortunately.
idc much for annoyance - Disengage.
just tryna win.
i had a very interesting hand in 20 badugi vs a japanese player (hence u know they are good at triple draw games)
i 3! a46r 3way button cold call n ep call
2-1-1
i bet they both call
2-1-1 i check turn afraid of button better 3card then button surprising checks back maybe a bad three card 5 (a25r as it turns out)
2-1-1 on river
ep checks i check pair sixes dugi
button bets
i check raise and fot three bet by 7521
nice hand nice hand
gotta be able to check raise bluff i like it
earlier in archie he check raised me on river w a non qualifier and i called w my rivered flush
respect
simple
big swings in tours chipping down and busted by jon turner in 1600 nl
then played 3hours of 20-40 hovering around even then two big hands v dean joe from texas
8-8 v 7-7 in razzdeucey then in badugi i 3! nonconvertible jack ip v him
he calls and draws 3
on turn he draws one and check raises me i fold he shows a queen
Dean is a very aggressive player, he bluffs in limit games, probably more than anyone I know, but he also knows I'm very aware of his Bluff tendency. That's why when he check raised me i just folded the turn
i believed him
and he told me later in text he had ace deude five queen and he was going to snow with a Queen Dugi out of position vs me
so in that hand i either fold turn n lose 3bets
or call down n win/lose 5bets
avg drawn is 8 and avg pat is jack
he goes from D3 to D1 could be four blanks in his hand and he still check raise semi bluff but he is indeed ahead of like 45% of my pat range plus i could be snowing.
long way to go if i wanna get elected to be the mayor of dugi town
i lose $420ish n i quit to see my gf
simple
rw poker room closing in two weeks
management already left
i missed the very last game there being 8mix cuz i was busy trying to bulldoze wynn 1600$ and playing 3! pots vs pearljammed j9
no more tournaments!
and no more rw!
pretty happy lodge getting raided
some type of justice towards doug the scum
Just realized the Big Adventures tournament finale is approaching. The main prize is a Maldives trip and it will be given away during a live stream.
From what I read, the winner will be randomly selected from the Top 100 players.
I didn’t manage to reach that level but I’m curious to see who gets lucky. If anyone here made the Top 100, that would be interesting to hear.
venetin $3 dbbp $10 per half time holy mother of god
fricking steal!
my cash plo skill needs to be studied - so goated!
doug is gigantic douchebag man, big pos. ppl can have their owns opinion but i will stay away from interacting w him
when i was younger roughly collrge days i was a big fan w my roomie and looking back its cuz im an outie. its rite of passage in poker to realize that he is a scum.
i wanna lay big that chris brewer may not be able to come back from shanghai.
i have a very bad feeling.
pray.
its like going to north korea!

Thanks for answering. I’m even more intrigued by what you posted about Chino Rheem and Sam Soverel. I just listened to China on Chance podcast and it very much appeared he’s turned his life around and is doing things the right way now. Apparently not? So Soverel is the one paying all his buy ins? Is Soverel one of the richest guys in that scene you think?

sam pays chinos buyins afaik
i never asked grinder about chino but on insta u see sam doing what 5k a spin on dragonlink.
sam wins heaps in sports n books alot of ppls action i heard - i only ever talked to him once very briefly on some sports stuff.
there are so many ultra rich on the circuit that would put sam in the poverty i suspect!
u seen the qqpk thing sponsoring triton one or something? many asians on it - aware of one or two americans being backed by the ultra rich russians. anecdote - qqpk reached out to me mooonths ago asking me to be an agent i rejected.
im so far removed from the tournament scene - but back to chino, recently found out him owing 200+ to a reg in boston then last night during the venetian stream 4th grinders game iirc someone in the comment troll maybe mentioned chino owing them 700k.
theres a young guy in his groupish now that i think has the "chino quality" too but all in all bum is such a proper for chino imo.
great timing huh
cue the tweet from man of the library
i dont wan grt things twisted but i think sam is infinitely better as a gambler than majority of the gamblers out there. two sides to many things... im aware of some of the 2p2 - but i mean, its a fricking jungle out there - i flatted w a bad hand in razzdeucey vs a reg the other day on the third and quickly took my bet my back announcing i misread my cards (truthfully) and it was totally cool i hv the credibility and that is some sweet moments in life thats cherishable.
This may be the greatest thread going right now on 2+2. Thanks for your posts. It’s a fascinating insight into the live scene. I didn’t realize there were that many wealthy people, was under the impression most people are buried in makeup/ and backed by Haxton.

u flatter me - im just tryna keep myself in check in cash games and i wish sharing some embarassing hands could prevent me from puntingin the future. you're never going to play a perfect session, but try to limit the mistakes and really try to play good poker. I did a couple YouTube videos in the beginning for that specific reason, but that takes too long so I just write HHs n post on 2p2. we all tilt n it takes time to mentally adjust n strive to play A game. now, if I play my A game and I still can't beat whatever game I'm playing then forget about it. such a big part of this game is mental esp when u try to play cash for a literal living. it takes a couple weeks to reset spiritually n after an 100 bet upswing then instantly an 100bet downswing, i am going back to bellagio today for my first 80 session in around a month. we have two tables today n a few action guys good or bad players regardless, game is juicy. my short term goal is for myself is win 300bets in the game. currently up ~25k on the yr across all games n a measly 3k in 80. lots work to be done.
keep myself in check n play well, telling myself
in terms of tours, i am sure most of the ppl who r backed r indeed in MU. but as we know, hendon is such a big fat lie - i was explaining to my gf how we cant tell how someone is doing. mine is anout 120 online n i have 105ish in buyin so my career profit in 4years is 15k.... then u can have someone w same hendon but 200 in buyin then he lost 80k but how can one possibly know.
i got words from almost everyone that currently owes n i hv faith numbers will get settled by june except this one tourney kid which i cant fricking tolerate now. 7 figure hendon and is stone cold broke now and u try to tell me that for half a year he cant muster up 2 dimes and pay back? ridiculous. a few regular tour guys on the scene constantly text for backing i learn to say no its horrendous. The texan guy won the wpt at wynn has a mexicanbacker n i briefly talked to the backer n he just said ye im in this industry. its a big net/system w tournaments. in addition i am aware of soooo many chinese stables n institutions in relation to tournaments. i rate them negative 10 on a scale of 0 to 10. even some chinese political high up government officials are involved in some stables cuz lets say im a trillionaire in the chinese govt n my son likes poker i create some brand n fund my son's hobby even establish teams for random tournaments - it makes those $70 Westgate donkaments more worthy to win than some of the tritons!
who am i tho at the end of the day. i do enjoy living in vegas - was gon go back to sacramento for thundervalley wpt but really dont wanna despite capitol having juicy 5-10 plo game. i rly feel imma lose control on that bum prop Kyle Bunn and that stones host Randy Niccum. If i can properly survive in vegas i cant be happier. Gladly take 100k annual in gambling over a milly regular job in IT, datasci, or whatev. I thank my parents for birthing me w a qualifying IQ hahahaha. but then again, i see how rho, prasetyo, abrams play in cash games and how they crush and they fight downswings, i have a Looooooong way to go. as of now, let's finish playing nba2k14 then head out and have a good session today. glgl.
