Interested highly in neurobiology - i wake up and just constantly have past traumatic memories pouncing my head. I've taken a long enough break - 2 months.
I been playing for the past week and in an 8-down session today aka exactly four hours, i played more hands than i normally play in the span of a week.
I text my buddy to live sweat so I have all the hands and it was basically me finishing typing up HH and boom another playable. One game was added in the last two months, namely 5cardPLOdoubleboard, $1600 cap as usual.
It was a very good table when I got there - 3 spots + 2 japnese + me. There's this black guy Gary who follows David Levi around - huge A-hole, abusing dealers and players constantly. I was actually thinking for a long time how I should play pots vs someone I would extra extra extra hate to lose pots to. Any advice?

we dont play bomb pots, just to be clear.
his convo surrounds all in ranges.
1. if you open to 3.5 you can never fold to 40bb cap in this game - which i don't anyway
2. double suited ness is way too important in 5 card - i ran calc vs top 15% and top 25% ranges and KQJJTss performs worse than 23467ds; and even if you set one of the ranges to be top 15% for AAxxx, 23467ds still outperforms in equity.
3. against the people that we are playing against at bellagio, any hand you want to play you need to 3 bet iso. but hands like over pairs with no backup on paired board when facing aggression you have to let it go since you are dead on one board.

(if we talk about post flop, it's standard to fold shared nuts if it's one board, and for hands without visibility you just have to refrain from going for half. very similar to chasing lows in stud8 or o8 Or chasing board in drawmaha. And it costs extra now since it's pot limit)
In addition, i wouldn't do the preflop minclick shenanigans at double board - there are so few scenarios where you flop nothing-nothing.

im really not used to that scene anymore for one reason or another - whether it's the stake or the environment/surrounding.
i botched a razzdeucey hand on fourth and the mistake compounded; i broke a 9 vs a ten in drawma-ace and i got bluffed by quad sevens in deuce.

I got offered to be staked in some big mix games by a very unlikely source.
He hadn't seen me for weeks and he saw me a couple days ago and thought I was back in Sac or maybe had moved to Dallas.
I never had intention to get on anybody's stake and it's no different this time.
There are a few different things here:
1) He originally suggested to put me in Omaha tournaments at wsop because he thinks I'm a big favorite in any Omaha fields. I reminded him that I can't play caesers events and if he were to put me in any tours, big field NLH would be more ideal. I plan to have 100% of myself in the 3500 betmgm championship next month, 1.5-2mill for first. I believe my method of approaching such big fields. Max LR and two doubles @ 5%-65% aggregate then ITM and just cruise from there.
2) He thinks the games are softer during wsop and the more I refuse to play, the less yearly earn I can generate since the six-week period during the World Series is a must.
3) I mentioned to him how poorly I played in 20 yesterday and he said that I just have to get my mind right and play at more meaningful stakes. Well, easier said than done. Basically then - he offered me a staking deal and he thinks it would be good for both him and I - I asked him why it would be good for him in any universe but he hasn't responded. I understand it's good for me cuz it limits my exposure at 75-150+; there's something to be said that when one is over-rolled for a stake like 20, one would start playing poorly; while the fact that two downswings at 80-160 can hit me real big forces me to play my A game constantly.
4) In the end, this guy basically told me it's my choice to decide whether I even want to play cash games or not - and if I were to accept the staking deal I need to make it a business decision and man up and put my butt in a seat.
I told him last night to give me a few days and sit on the idea. There's a lot of identity crisis and fear of the future going on - I just don't know.
I love the orleans. Omw to paris for 75 mix and game broke so stayed at orleans and played the drawmaha mix tournament. A lot of play during middle stage but little to none play later on. Right before money bubble, avg bets is 3.8

Some of these poker girls really intolerable. Melanie Weisner came to the werewolf game and there's a round where I played my non-convention way to blindly shooting as revealer and I told her if she didn't come out as a role I would shoot her and she cussed me out and went crazy calling names and stuff assuming I don't know how to play, almost in the exact same way as Benny Glaser. I mean what can I do? It's very unfriendly - ye, just bad vibes. Funnily enough, I gave the villager team an amazing start but mckeehan, mike gagliano and my good friend jason all outplayed me and made the comeback. But damn, seriously, there is no honorable females in gambling huh.
Maybe Im too soft or sensitive - lacking a level of emotional control. Ok. Life's full of little dangs. I really think that esp in US, as opposed to a third world country like China, if you ain't happy, step away. It's fine.

And it really is not a matter of death that forces one to leave the world - you live as long as there is one living person still remembers you. So come on, between melanie weisner and this female friend of mine in china - there are things deserving preservation and there are relationships that actually mean something. But things change, i had a #3 knicks jersey in high school and i was a die hard knicks fan but now 15 years later i am so indifferent about basketball and about the city of new york; i can view things one way now and change my mind later unfortunately - but i do feel there are some things that can stand the test of time and i am talking about tens of thousands of epochs.
anyway back to this poker hof - i haven't talked to ted in a hot minute since he got out of the hospital quite scathed. we just haven't been texting, he needs recovery. Now, if and it's a big if imo, he and i had some falling out like he and hennigan did, it's etched in history his impact on me and on northern american poker. Merit is such a nice word - it's what i told my PI at uc davis my reluctance to put up publishable material on my research - lack of merit in my work - of course nothing to do with my inability to finish certain coding projects. And it's interesting that over the last year n half i had picked up the habit of seeking prostitution, but do i deserve to be recognized? like whether ted deserves to be recognized for his resume in poker.

I have new niche ID issues with my Nevada card - the floor Barbara at Orleans handled it wayyyyyyy better than caesers (and venetian) did.
I might have mentioned that the reason I cannot play WSOP is because Caesars can never give me a clear answer on the tax situation related to my ID. diff policies depending on casinos/companies.

in these pot limit variant of drama2, a hand like 95543 seems very borderline to defend. But it was button open. flop 998, xx. 1-1, i catch a King and turn 7. any combo of JT, T6, 65 are straights and eliminating the fact that button has the case 9, i have to bet to get some of them Q and J lows to fold? but when JT or Ten low w T6 puts it in, imma puke.
