In many, if not most nations, if you vote for a small party you're voting for a party that gets some representation in a parliament where parties all have to negotiate to come together to decide a PM and form a government. IOW, you're voting for a party that gets some power. In the USA if you vote for a small party you just lose. And, if you're in a swing state anyway, you may help your 3rd choice beat your 2nd choice.
In pre brexit UK Farages party never won any non trivial representation. Never had any negotiation power or chose the pm. Farage himself lost every time.
Farage still one of the top 2 or 3 influential uk politicians since WW2. People who voted for him won decisively.

The house is extremely easy to take (and expectations would have been to take it easily even with a normal presidency, that's what almost always happens in midterms, the party without the white house has some gains).
Senate is almost impossible to take, would need to flip *4 races* which tends to be rare.
Moreover, even if republicans are defending a lot of seats in 2026, most of them are in states trump won by double digits.
Only Collins (Maine) and Tillis (NC) are vulnerable, and democrats have to defend Ossof seat (in GA, where Trump won the state) and Peters seat (MI, he isn't running again).
Nothing is impossible in politics but i would lay you very favourable odds against the proposition that democrats are going to take back the senate in 2026.
