Back in the days conservatives were much more intolerant than liberals yes, for deviation of social conduct.

We spent centuries in the west to destroy the cultural violence of the religious right, WE WON, and then what did the left do? take it's place and be as horrifyingly toxic and obnoxious as the right was while we fought it.
That's why i will never be able to forgive the left. We had won. We had the 90s. That was it. That was when all efforts had to complete stop, right there. Nonracial society, with liberal behavioural norms but no glorification of perversion, which you could do at home but wasn't considered a positive in society.

Keep in mind i live in a country that dodged most if not all of the developments we are describing here. Gay marriage isn't even legal in Italy right now lol. We are deeply racist and there is almost no foreign born, nor 2nd generation, in any position of power anywhere in the country nor in any meaningful profession. They are all low skill workers.

For example: nothing in MAGA even remotely comes close to "pregnant men". Every single person who isn't utterly disgusted and horrified by the fact that culture went as crazy as to claim men can get pregnant, is a lot worse than the most radical and crazy MAGA can ever be.
So it's not like i don't recognize MAGA mistakes. Their position on 1HB visas is wrong for example. Their love of tariffs is wrong. But they are still far less dangerous than anyone who doesn't get extremely angry at anyone who claims men can get pregnant.
