President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
I don't agree with the extent of your statement, but I will say it is true that other subreddits and ones that I would also call "leftist" do delete comments and ban users as well.
I don't believe these (at least the ones I am aware of) other subreddits disallow others to post unless they have a "flair" like r/conservative does. Please, correct me I am wrong with that assertion.
they have a small portion of all posts flaired-only, but ofc they will tend to be the most active ones because right-wing people have enough of wasting time with fully incompatible individuals who live their lives according to values you would sacrifice your life to fight.
leftists places, being the dominant religion on Reddit by far, don't need that, they just autoban you at the first "offence".
on conservative you can be a leftist and interact with a decent amount of posts (not if you order by relevance because those will be flaired only mostly, for the reasons stated).
on leftist reddit (which is like 90% of political reddit) you will be autobanned at your first attempt to defend any non leftist position.
not allowing you to write because you don't deserve a platform isnt censorship. no one has a right to an audience or a platform.
telling you you can write then banning you because they disagree is. it's much more mischievous, manipulative. normies will try to talk and at some point get banned because they disagree with one tenet of the religion
still private censorship so it's fine
There are some people who have been shown to have voted illegally in the last several years.
They're mostly Republicans, like this Georgia Republican Party official.

The levels of censorship on conservative are so high that the posters will lament the sub is being brigaded if dissenting opinion even appears in a flaired thread. Mind you, flaired thread means r/conservative regulars only
they have been brigaded tens of times in the past so the paranoia is understandable.
do you realize political reddit is FAR more to the left than X is to the right , yes?
with the flaired thing they will come to peace at some point I guess.

Yea but you you know how it is. Every one that you see there’s like 100 more you don’t, like rats, or cockroaches, or unsecured Signal chat groups set to self delete discussing not classified attack plans.
Come on BJ and Playbig where are you!?
Or the other Trumptard who I cba scrolling back to check his username

Reddit as a whole is definitely extremely left leaning.
Doesn’t mean conservative or theDonald doesn’t heavily mod.

Yeah, there certainly aren't many.
I just found it very funny that when all the investigations were going on after the "stolen" 2020 election, a vast majority of the verified cheaters were Republicans.
Well at the moment 100% of threads in r/conservative are flair only (not just hot, all new threads too). It is admittedly the only time I've ever opened that reddit, and the rules do imply it's not normally a regular thing, but currently it literally isn't letting anyone who hasn't proven themselves by posting conservative views post anything at all, which is tough to beat as far as censorship of opposing views go.

it actually isn't. just telling you to go thr **** away, never letting you in unless you already have proven to be like-minded with the group, is infinitely less censorious than pretending to give you access then kicking you out if you don't follow the leftist bible.
not giving you access isn't censorship. pretending you can talk freely within "normal" rules then actually censoring content is censorship (still private, so I am fine with it), it's a pretext to appear like you allow everyone to speak while you actually don't but those who got banned can't tell others that's the case.
it's infinitely worse

Will you post an example of one of the flaired-only posts?
I do agree that the average user of reddit is left-leaning.

I don't understand the question, just go to r/conservative as the other poster said right now you see all flaired only, try to comment and you won't be able to. you only get the flair after you have a posting history there and a mod checks you out
btw r/conservative did that in both previous elections (2020 and 2022) because of massive brigading. it's not new, evidently they are getting brigaded a lot right now
r/conservative is absolutely wild to read. It is quite bad how blatant they are with deleting comments and disallowing other people without the conservative tag to post.
They only allow other "non-flaired" members to discuss/debate in specific threads and only very occasionally.
I hope you can acknowledge they still censor far less than your typical leftist subreddit and it's not even vaguely close.
it's basically autoban to defend any non leftist position in all the major leftist subreddits

I was specifically asking for an example of a left-leaning subreddit that predominantly only allowed "flaired" users to post on the majority of their threads in such a way as to be similar to the r/conservative subreddit.

The developed world skews left though. It has for generations now.
There's been a recent rightward shift in many countries. But still, and especially if you're discussing this in terms of American right/left, most of the developed world is WAY more left than Americans.
Hence, reddit will skew more left, and other large global platforms. Comments people agree with on reddit, get upvoted and shown more - there's no skewed algorithms (that anyone is aware of). X will not, because its algorithm is intentionally skewed to amplify right-wing content, Trump, and Musk.
It's a bad comparison.
But further, people on the left on reddit are talking about common sense regulation, and things like healthcare access, and protecting social security, etc...
r/conservative is talking about some of the nuttiest conspiratorial gibber-jabber.
Maybe ask yourself why that is, and notice some more of the red flags?

I don't know of any but I am banned in like 15+ leftist subreddits, often after just a few posts.
as I explained they don't need that. they already own the place militarily so they can pretend to let you in then autoban you (and give your name to black lists run by leftists).
they can't be brigaded, they are the brigade.
when you are an oppressed minority being violently mistreated (like the right was on every social media for years, now it isn't on Twitter), and the owner of the place blatantly disapplicate rules when you are the target of violent actions, you need different tools than when you are in bed with the owners ideologically and your base on site is far bigger.

ye sure they talk about access to healthcare (for trans youth).
which is a topic that isn't majoritarian in most first world countries, and if you add indians, Pakistani, indonesians, Mexicans, Brazilians and so on (they access internet you know?) would routinely get super majorities against.
yet it's a religion on Reddit, because reddit does NOT represent the "online world" at all, rather a much more radical, to the left, subportion of it.
there are approx as many Indians online as there are Europeans + Americans.
do you think they are on the left (under your definition) on topics like racism? or human rights?

/r/conservative was okayish, then like many online conservative forums it got infested by MAGA ideology and rendered useless.
MAGA as an ideology simply isn't based on freedom of thought or skepticism, it is about accepting what you are told, even if it contradicts what you were told yesterday.
I will caveat that it has been a long while since I used social media at all, but I can't imagine the conservative forums have gotten any better.

Yeah, that's all they talk about. I'll call you on your BS and search rn. I just searched r/politics. They have ONE article about this in the last 2 months, and that's just because of the recent EO. You just sound ridiculous and unserious when you talk like that.
You must have missed the word DEVELOPED. The things the right opposes in America, are just considered no-brainer common sense things in most developed countries. The moderates in most countries would be considered radical left in America.
It seems like you need to be reminded of this every few days.
And you get banned Lucy, because you say some pretty racist, ignorant things. They aren't going to allow that in most decent subs. Maybe move it to 4chan.

I didn't miss the word "developed" , I contested it was appropriate to think social media should reflect the first world, because developing countries *are online* this isn't 2005.
also, while for ECONOMIC POLICY you are fairly right, you seem to need to be reminded daily that in the first world people hate immigration more than in the USA.
in most European countries every single year for the last 20+ years polls said absolute majorities wanted no more immigration. like literally no more at all, like it was already enough completely as it was. that started even at 2% of foreign born residents.
you seem to think majorities want multicultural societies in Europe. they don't.
example for 2014, keep in mind the question wasn't per year, it was about total immigration

70-80-90% saying they were at most fine as it was meaning dont let anyone else in full stop.
does this look TO THE LEFT to you? supermajorities of nativists everywhere?

I get banned because minoritarian extremists own some places and want to keep them leftist-only.
Luciom doesn't realize that many subreddits will auto ban you simply for having posts in places like conservative
I'm sure conservative is one of the more moderate subs that he frequents

While Trump rarely admits mistakes, many of his allies said Wednesday that’s exactly what the White House needed to do.

Options here are:

I would interpret "same" to mean the same amount of immigration/year -not- "do not allow anyone else in full stop."
