Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
I gotta say, the liquidation of Sinwar did not suck.
If there's a green light on people being liquidated itt.
Oh dang looks like I was a bit wrong, but still completely right that the guy is spewing dangerous misinformation. Good on the UK.
dangerous yes. misnformation? doesnt seem to be. you can read the article and judge for yourself. seems pretty meticulous and factual to me.

I read through some of it. the author seems to take some liberties presenting the facts. If you have issues with how some of the MSM has been covering the conflict, then I’d have to assume you consider this much more offensive.
I haven't looked into the events he wrote about in any detail but he's probably more right than wrong.
Not more or less factual than anything any government says. Or mainstream media. Seems well written though.
thats the most radical thing a group can do
writing about how israel killed loads of jews on oct 7 is obviously just an exercise in drawing culpability away from the actual murdering rapists, being the terrorist organisation of hamas (currently recruiting for multiple senior leadership positions)
Please stop attacking one another, reposting things I’ve previously deleted, and otherwise inflaming the discussion with low-content remarks.
Other mod note- I am allowing posters to express their individual sentiments regarding the death of Sinwar, within reason, due to him being both a public and political figure directly related to the inception and outcome of the current crisis.
Please do not use this as an opportunity to troll posters on the “other side”. That will still be moderated.
Thank you
That video of Sinwar dying is intense. I'm trying to imagine that tech around in WW2.
This new world is really mind bending.
Understanding and discussing what actually happened on one of the most consequential days in modern history is verboten apparently. Instead, we can never challenge the narrative put out by the leaders of the West. The bias is clear as ever.
That's a bullshit bad faith interpretation of my post.
I don't think Asa is writing investigative pieces to draw culpability away from Hamas. He is writing to try to present the truth about one of the most sensationalized and propagandized events of the era.
You should have just deleted his post as well and it would have been whatever.
One thing I noticed is that references to the well documented torture and rape of thousands of Palestinians is often deleted. But trolling posts from BOIDs about the debunked mass rape hoax are always left up.
Just for the record, the UN found credible evidence that sexual violence did happen, up to and including gang rape. Given the current disposition of the UN towards the conflict I doubt they’d be making stuff up to lie for Israel.
There are reasonable grounds to believe that conflict-related sexual violence — including rape and gang-rape — occurred across multiple locations of Israel and the Gaza periphery during the attacks on 7 October 2023, a senior United Nations official reported to the Security Council today, as she presented findings from her visit to Israel and the occupied West Bank.
Following allegations of brutal sexual violence committed during and in the aftermath of the Hamas-led terror attacks, Pramila Patten, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, led an official visit to Israel from 29 January to 14 February to gather, analyse and verify reports of sexual violence related to the 7 October attack. Due to ongoing hostilities, the Special Representative did not request to visit Gaza, where other UN entities that monitor sexual violence are operational.
“What I witnessed in Israel were scenes of unspeakable violence perpetrated with shocking brutality,” Ms. Patten recalled. Detailing her methodology, she said that her team met with families of hostages and members of communities displaced from several kibbutzim. It conducted confidential interviews with 34 individuals, including survivors and witnesses of the 7 October attacks, released hostages, first responders and health and service providers. It visited four attack sites — as well as the morgue to which the bodies of victims were transferred — and reviewed over 5,000 photographic images and some 50 hours of footage of the attacks.
“It was a catalogue of the most extreme and inhumane forms of killing, torture and other horrors,” including sexual violence, she stated. The team also found convincing information that sexual violence was committed against hostages, and has reasonable grounds to believe that such violence may still be ongoing against those in captivity.

That was the Patten report and we have discussed it in depth. The superseding report with greater investigative powers explicitly did not corroborate rape.
I've linked to it many times. I don't have time to dig them up now.
denying the many confirmed rapes perpetrated by hamas on israeli civliians on oct 7 should be BANNED
should've been BANNED a year ago by whoever was the mod at that time

Just stop already with this. BOIDS whines about his posts being deleted too.
Both of you need to behave less emotionally.
