Hamas is already getting wiped off the face of the earth. If they release the remaining hostages maybe Israel stops the genocide and maybe they don't. But its kind of a freeroll for Hamas at this point.

You do? But wouldn't that result in an even-worse version of the Israel-Palestine status quo that led to 10/7 in the first place? I mean, Israel, fresh off of winning this "war", would surely seek to even further punish and/or ethnically cleanse whatever Palestinians remain in the area.

Just keep in mind the "anti-Zionist" left doesn't think Israel should exist and want it destroyed. So if you think Israel should exist, and your reflex is to think the anti-Zionist left has a bad idea, you are probably correct.

I do find it interesting how the supposedly "anti-colonial" left is so enamored with Syria the nation state. Syria has always been an artificial colonial construct, first constructed by the British and then the last 40 years propped up by Iran and Russia, for their own colonial interests with no regard for Syrians themselves.
If the left was actually anti-colonial they should be receptive towards the different groups of people who have no interest in recreating Syria having self determination. This includes Kurds, Druze, and the Shiite and Sunnia areas of Syria.
Of course the left isn't actually anti-colonial. They are just anti-white (as they perceive white); and are indifferent towards nations like Turkey, Iran and Russia subjugating and abusing peoples as part of colonial projects.
