These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. 2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

The Abraham Accords is the begining of arab nations joining israel in peace. You can be with it, or against it. When Saudi joins after the war, it will weaken Iran even more

Hamas tried to return the hostages. Israel would not accept them bc of their ambitions. this was widely reported in Israeli media.
Hamas did not start anything. Israel bombed Gaza at will for decades and ran a violent blockade.
just the other day Israel voted against returning the hostages.

certainly I would have hoped that they were strong enough to have stopped what will go down in history as the worse crime of my life in the extermination of 100s of thousands and probably eventually millions of people in real time.
but I never would have expected that they could actually hold off an invasion by the Israelis which they did. however Israel's terroristic bombing of Beirut has allowed to them to win the Southern Lebanon area with a fake ceasefire agreement. we will see what happens, but it looks like Hezbollah will need to step in and force the perfidious invaders out since they will never actually abide by rules and promises.

I don't think they should ever butcher anybody but until hamas surrenders they need to eradicate hamas. I hope they take as much care as possible to minimize civilian deaths

Hamas is in control over whether they continue their current course of action. So long as they continue with their stated goal of the destruction of Israel, so long as they refuse to surrender, so long as they refuse to agree to a permanent peace treaty (not a cease fire) with Israel, then this morally justifiable war against them will continue.
Israel has proven it will maintain peace with those who maintain peace with it.
The devastation the people of Gaza are experiencing is the fault of Hamas (and its enablers). No one else.
