Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Still will never get why you hate Israel so much, but peace will not be achieved with hamas in power
Israel will accept the Palestinian Authority even though they are less than ideal, but at least that will:
Unite the governments of Gaza and the West Bank
Have a government in that has at least shown a little that they recognize Israel and want peace
And hopefully lead to a permanent solution
You should really stop putting words into people’s mouths. If you can’t debate honestly, maybe debate is not for you. I don’t need to claim you hate all Arabs in order to be correct in my arguments. That you resort to that sort of thing is a glaring weakness of character.
I don’t hate the sinner anyway, I hate the sin.
Sinwar was in the their custody. they didnt fly him from a foreign battlefield.
and that was 20 years ago. now they are brutally torturing doctors and other innocents to death on a routine basis.
They saved his life. They would still save any prisoners life. Any terrorist life. That's what they do
I dont think they have honored even 2 hours of the Lebanon ceasefire. they are killing civilians almost daily still.
The IDF says it carried out a drone strike in southern Lebanon earlier today, targeting a Hezbollah operative who was violating the ceasefire agreement, after he was spotted loading up a vehicle with weapons.
The drone strike was carried out to “remove a threat,” the military says.
But those are biased Zionist Western American Israeli propaganda mouthpieces. Surely you’d get much better, unbiased opinions from bot accounts on Twitter and TikTok.
Unironically true but Schumer's new bill will make it illegal in 2 days to talk about certain topics, so much for the first amendment.

Who's gonna tell him?
I would replace "Jews" with USA or even "the West" but I mean it's the pro-Isreal side that is constantly conflating Jews with Israel.
So it was reported that Israel and Saudi were close to a deal
But then
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_e...
Both Israel and Saudi deny it
Im curious if it is true but neither side can admit it publicly
Haaretz is definitely far left but general accurate
We can dream
Sure there is. Hamas can escape with their life during the ceasefire
Let me ask you Trolly
If Israel agrees to a full ceasefire for the hostages, then the alleged 45000 death count was for nothing. Is that what you want? So you can **** on bibi?
What would be the point of any of this
If bibi ends the war with hamas in power, he should request exile as well.
Hamas can escape with their life during the ceasefire
I don't think you understand much about Hamas. I could recommend some reading.
SkyHighStacks has been banned for 3 days for posting an antisemitic meme.
NYT laundered more fake news about Hamas to support Israel's genocidal campaign.
Well, most ruling govts that start major wars by invading another nation and then lose wars this bad surrender and agree to step aside for the good of the people. Hamas complete indifference to the good of the people, and the world's indifference toward their indifference, is going to be a major roadblock over things improving moving forward.
In the 1973 war, Golda Meir resigned for only drawing in a war against most of the Arab world. Hamas started a war that got their entire city state destroyed, and is insistent on retaining power.
It will take time, but there is possibilities for things to get better in a post Hamas Palestine. There is literally no hope for anything good to happen with Hamas sticking around. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Whatever you think of Israel, Hamas determination to retain power at all costs is a very clear indication they are not interested in the well-been and future of the Palestinian people at all, and will prove a major impediment towards things getting better.
I would argue the complete indifference towards this reality by western progressives indicates they are not actually interested in the Palestinian people at all. They are mostly just selfish narcissists interested in validating their own feelings of self righteousness.
The UN, and its insistence in propping up the Palestinian "resistance" at all costs, is a giant failure and the biggest part of the problem IMO.
Golda resigned for ignoring intelligence and not preemptively striking
Lol
It’s not like he said “still will never get why you hate Arabs so much”
Isn’t that the inverse of what you claimed about someone just earlier today? You seem to have no issue paraphrasing others. The same can be true for everyone else.
Well, I dont know what was known by the Israeli people at the time, but my understanding is Kissinger had expressly told her not to preemptively strike, as it would make US diplomacy with Egypt and the rest of the Arab world more difficult.
The point is, after such a tactical disaster given the state of Gaza, if Hamas had any concern for the Palestinian people at all it would have resigned a long time ago.
And if the international community had any integrity they would be putting much more pressure on Hamas/Qatar to make this happen. That being said, handing Syria to the Muslim Brotherhood Axis (Qatar, Turkey, Al Qaida offshoots, etc.) may be part of a greater strategy where Hamas is abandoned down the line in a give and take.
Polievre (who's soon going to be Canada prime minister) is "slightly allin" pro Israel and against Iran.
He said that if Israel bombs Iran not to allow them to develop the bomb that would be "a gift to humanity"
Don’t know anything about Canadian politics but that seems like a pretty level headed take.

When Turkey soon invades Syria, will you be upset?
