TV: what have you been watching?
I think The Walking Dead may be the best drama thats currently airing/in production.
There, I said it.
Season Three of Clarkson's Farm is on Amazon. Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame buys a farm and along with his partner, Lisa, attempts to make a go of it.
The series features a cast of delightful characters, including Clarkson himself who, apparently, has a bad reputation in Britain, but an even worse reputation among the locals. Kaleb tends to much of the farming and the machinery, Gerald, barely understandable, rebuilds stone walls, and Charlie advised Clarkson on all sorts of matters, in particular The local rules.
The farm even has a name: Diddly Squat.

I am going to give RIPLEY (Netflix) 4 out of 5 stars.
The pacing is a little slow in places, but it is so beautifully crafted that it doesn't matter; if the action is lagging you can marvel at how well-composed, staged and photographed the images are.
Watched A Man in Full limited series on Netflix. Meh, didn't really like it. Kind of a confusing mish mash that had a lot of potential and tried real hard but didn't really deliver.
Like the New York Mets.
Ripley gets worse and worse each episode, might be downgrading from 3 to 2 stars by the time I'm finished.
Decided to re-watch The Americans [gf hasn't seen it], holds up really well. Almost done s3. One of the most underrated TV shows ever.
Stan is such a great character.
true but man the daughter is so ****ing insufferable.

Isnt this one of the most acclaimed tv shows of all time?
well that looks amazing...Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, and Mark Strong.
Compared to the overrated Sopranos, Mad Men, GOT, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad? No. Most people under 25 have never heard of it in my experience.
Lol I must be buying the hype cause those 5 could easily be my top 5 tv shows ever.
I liked The Americans too; no doubt it's an elite show but they lost me toward the last. I think I even skipped the last season.

Americans just never clicked with me. I watched the first 2 seasons and then stopped because I just didn't like it.

The Americans went a bit awry in the last couple of seasons, but the series finale was very good.
Going to repeat myself here, but to me the GOAT underrated series is Black Sails I'm through 3 seasons on a rewatch on Netflix and it holds up against your top 5 and my #1, which is The Wire.
the americans was pretty good but let's not get ridiculously carried away and compare it to the sopranos or breaking bad.
What RBK said. It was damn good, BTW. But, yeah.
Also, you know how I decide who I can be friends with these days? If you don't 'get' Deadwood, leave me alone.
33 years ago today, the greatest sitcom finale scene ever....
I guess I don't have many friends here.....
I'll be your non-Deadwood-liking pal, bigger. I found it close to unwatchable, mainly for the "look at me" writing by David Milch. Can't stand that blowhard, writes some LA Law and NYPD Blue eps and thinks he's Shakepeare!
The GOAT shows for me are also severely underappreciated : Devs (Alex Garland), Mr. Robot, True Detective S1, Westworld S1 (Jonathan Nolan).

Never heard of Devs, True Detective S1 is great. And I absolutely despised Mr. Robot and Westworld. But tastes differ 😀 For me Deadwood is the greatest TV show ever made. Then its Madmen and the Wire. While I liked Breaking Bad I always thought it was ridiculously overrated. And GoT S1 was great and got significantly worse as each season popped up.
Devs was amazing...so was Mr. Robot.
I'm looking forward to the sequel, "Domo arrogate, Mr. Robot."
I didn't hate Deadwood as much as kioshk, but I do agree with the sentiment. There's a very fine line between writing great dialogue and just smelling your own farts, and Milch straddled that line a little too closely for my tastes.
For me, The Sopranos and BB are the goat shows and I can't see that ever changing. I'll also throw out a vote for The Shield being a great underrated show (maybe underrated is the wrong word, but I do think it's largely forgotten these days).
I didn't get this if it was a joke or what, but I did find this movie made by Sam Esmail which apparently takes place in the same realm as Mr Robot : https://www.gq.com/story/confirmed-leave...
True Detective S1 is all-time for sure.
Underrated Shows:
Penny Dreadful
The Knick
Deadwood is top 5 for me but I love anything western
