This looks like a joke or mistake on the WSOP site. Maybe he went up by 3M chips and they made it 30M. Apparently DN doubled up when Ausmus open shoved from the SB with T9o and DN called in the BB with KQo. I think his new stack is really 3.3M or 3.9M.

He doubled thru Ausmus for 3.3M NOT 33M.

kinda interesting that Allen Kessler said he was a millionaire in one of the recent vlogs

does he make most of his money from playing poker?

I always wondered how much he profits because you seem him play almost every tournament at the WSOP

I believe Kessler made his fortune off coupon runs at locals casinos.

Also, if you get a free fries on the McDonalds app everyday, that’s almost $1000 per year in fry equity, which can really add up over time through compound interest.

his sister is a very wealthy business owner who has him on the payroll to support him - he's on record about this in interviews, just google "alan kessler sister"

Seems like a loose shove from the SB by Ausmus with T9o for 13xBB effective, but maybe he thought DN would call too tight.

Negs hits the rail in the 225k

I'd be pretty impressed if he gets out of the red for the series. $870k is not a small #.

um...did i miss something or did this just happen? He's out. wasnt he like in 1st place not too long ago lol

typical (not hating btw, i like dnegs but one cant argue, this is typical of him when he's got a monster stack. he'll get in some crazy spots where he risks his entire stack)

I was just about to type
No Spoilers, cause pokergo is way behind pokernews, but it's too late now.
I'm gonna assume you don't have pokergo, and you didn't know pokergo is way behind pokernews.

Well if pokernews didn't delay reports to match stream, non-subscribers don't know what's a spoiler or not.

^ Yup, Pokernews should be sinking up with PokerGO.
Also: I shoulda stayed away from 2+2.

This is what I was referring to. Not that he busted….

You mean inflation?
Guess i dont understand the joke... He aint that fat, or seems to get fatter...

I'm a little surprised (I mean, not shocked) that people seem to need to be vehemently for or against Daniel to follow his vlog.

[snip]

I assume most people are in the middle like you. I say all the time that I'm neither a fanboy nor a hater, so I'm in your camp. The YouTube comments will likely consist of the Stans, and this thread will bring out the 2+2 schaudenfreudians, which polarizes our sense of what people think of Negreanu.

As for the vlog, yours seems to be a common take, even in this thread: it's one of the better ways to stay in touch with the WSOP – i.e. a way to be there when you can't be there. 'Tis why I enjoyed PokerRoad Radio back in the day, so much so that I often wish it launched a few years later, with video content as its primary content rather than podcasts. (Of course, PokerRoad probably wouldn't have survived the Adpocalypse, so we'd be in the same place anyhow.)

DN now has 3.9 M (2.7 buyins) in the $250K. He got allin preflop or on the flop for 50xBB with JJ versus QQ and hit a J on the turn.

Still cant cash. Hes the worst.

by cringeanu k

Still cant cash. Hes the worst.

He cold 4! with QQ and ATs had odds to call and made a flush. If he won that hand, he would probably at least cash and get his 2 $250K buyins back. He could have done a lot worse, quickly busting out each time.

I think he has more fan boys than people who hate him overall. Id agree most on 2p2 are in the middle me included. I think he's a really good poker ambassador, I like watching a lot of his vlogs for the most part (I skip the crap with him at home or trying to be funny ) but his sense of entitlement is really annoying.

It's amazing to me that in a high variance endeavor like tournament poker , extremely experienced players like him still think it's all skill when they run it up. When they lose a few flips or gasp- an all in with a higher pocket pair to a lower pocket pair - they act like their house burnt down.

Lmao hopefully we can see his passive-aggressiveness after that hand

I prefer him playing online events.

that way we get to see his unfiltered rage over his stoopid plays.

Kinda funny watching a grown man losing his ****, kicking the air like a schoolgirl, throwing tantrums and stuff.

I am sure he will play the $50K 9-game which starts today. Still plenty of high rollers left in the Series for him to score big in.

Any pro who acts like that is a telltale sign that they've een running ridiculously well throughout their career.

Most poker players learn to accept much worse variance than what DNegs is experiencing while still playing the micros.

Dnegs pointed that out in todays vlog that chidwick's expression never changes, even when he loses a hand.

What he should be doing is realizing that this is a helpful skill for players at his level (in terms of average MTT BI) and perhaps to try and improve his mental game

Chidwick is English.

I don't think anyone is going to offer Chidwick $millions/year to do vlogs, etc. That's a big part of why DN has a big contract. He put on a show at those TV tables while the rest of them had perfect poker faces and gave no tells.

At this point, the question is, can Daniel get to his usual $1,000,000 in losses.

I'm in the camp, 'do something big'.
Either get heads up for a wsop bracelet, or lose spectacularly.
