Actually rooting for him to win. He has definitely changed his approach a bit this year compared to others and certainly seems refreshed and ready because of this. Yeah ok his personality in his vlogs is a little annoying at times but I do feel some of that is put on for content purposes.

Envious of his house, he is certainly winning at life.

Rooting for him to get 2nd but not sure which one would be funnier bust out, a huge bad beat or a big whoopsie.

Not literally dead but needing runner runner is close enough.

My point being that best case scenario is that it he he is small favorite. Worst is that he is screwed. Not a situation that ICM likes.

Do you think that ICM considerations mattered to Daniel in that or any other spot in this tournament?

Hard to really know but it seems fairly clear to me what his thought process was.

Those are some pretty big discrepancies, especially 2017/18 & 2023. Any guesses what would account for those...is Daniel including/excluding certain events or venues?

Anyone else notice that Blez called Daniel one of the top tier PLO players? Is he just blowing smoke or what? Also interested to see whether he just uses the footage where Blez is criticizing him in a big hand.

I think he's gotta be. Him and dnegs seem to be buddy buddy in his vlogs. I'm sure this must be a long term angle to get him in games.

In 2018 he won th SHRB for 3.3mil which accounts to some of the large discrepancy.

For 2017, I have no idea

Then again, he lost 1.3mil to Polk in 2021 in their HU match which does not seem to be included in his overall results which he published so who the hell knows how he comes up with these yearly results.

As for the luck, you need to run pure to win tournaments. How many wheels did Ivey make in that 2-7 final table this year?

The hard part is putting yourself in position to get lucky.

DN obviously has a high LC (luck coefficient). That is what made him a star with all those WPT final tables etc., and got him far in this PPC. Clearly LC is the most important skill in poker.

The discrepancy is caused by something called random chance (or luck). It's a well known part of poker results. In the short and medium term (and even long term for live tournaments) it's the by far most important factor when it comes to what your results will be.

Be spectacular if he wins a bracelet in the PPC. Probably good for his sponsorship.
