I know people were making fun of Yockey's sinus strip, but he wasn't wearing it when they came back from break.

The very first hand back is when DNegs doubled up in PLO when he hit the 2 on the river. From that point on it was pretty much all Daniel.

The sinus strips are actually more than just some weird fashion statement. They really open up your nostrils which provides way more oxygen into your brain than breathing through your mouth would. I wouldn't be shocked if they actually do provide some sort of advantage . They do look ridiculous though.

Great vlog. You can see the weight lifted off Daniel. I've had a lot of fun hating on Daniel throughout the years, but I really enjoyed watching him win and the emotions and stuff more than I ever thought I would. Good for Dnegs.

What happened to the Chip Reese trophy?

Loved the part in the vlog where it shows his past frustrations and emotional outbursts over losing.

This is basically what poker needs. Personalities you can follow.

I guess the problem with poker is that it's so high variance that poker companies could focus attention on a few players and film their run, and they could just bust easily and ruin production.

Plus he had straight to 6 for high. Ofc still a loser to flush but better than wheeel.

One thing I’m surprised I’ve haven’t heard anyone mention is that Daniel’s win moved him into 1st place in all-time WSOP winnings with $23.4 million. He moved ahead of Esfandiari, who of course won 18 of his $22.4 million in the Million Dollar One Drop. (Hellmuth is third at $18 million.)

If you exclude the two $1,000,000 tournaments, I looks like Hellmuth is still in first by like $200k over Daniel.

From what I've heard, they lost it during the transition from the Rio to Paris.

I was on the floor at the start of the tournament this year and asked the same question, and that's what somebody in the know told me.

That is sad to hear. Would it be so hard for them to make another one or update it? There are plenty of pictures of it around.

Not gonna lie, one of the joys of visiting and revisiting this thread today is the reverse schadenfreude, if that's such a thing.

Did he really give the finger? Probably, part of the reason he reacted so emotionally is he was aware of the haters ITT and elsewhere online. Winning not just a bracelet, but that tournament should shut them up a little.

I think they're aware of this thread because amanda reacted to the few comments before about her not showing up to the rails

or maybe that was said in one of their vlogs but she was quick to address it

That was my bad for bringing it up..i was not hating though just generally curious why you hardly see her in other final tables but i guess being married to a poker pro you already have a routine in place for big events like this
