Hmm I would tend to the opposite absent any indication otherwiae

There’s a reason for age typically being associated with wisdom

I was an ******* in my twenties. So are most people. Something about the frontal lobe not being fully developed or something.

regarding campus protests:

"We have to query whether or not we would tolerate this, if this were people dressed up in KKK outfits or KKK regalia making comments about people who are African-American in our communities."

essentially saying that genocide protesters are like the kkk, and should not be tolerated

pro hamas protesters are a lot worse than the kkk ever was (kkk didn't want to kill all blacks, hamas wants to kill all jews) but i understand why Shapiro can't say that; the above comment is still 100% correct.

And no , those aren't just "genocide protesters". Everyone who makes any hamas claim his own, is pro hamas. People can protest nethanyau decisions disawoing the totality of what hamas is, asks for, and does.

Chanting "fromt the river to the sea" or being in favour of any kind of violent intifada isn't "genocide protesting".

Essentially, the Theodore Roosevelt carrier group is now in the Persian Gulf, the USS Wasp (amphibious landing ship with Marine Corps F-35s aboard) and associated vessels are in the eastern Med and the USAF is moving F-15s to undisclosed locations within range. The idea is, as happened the other day, to use fighters against Iranian missiles and drones aimed at Israel, should th

That's what I assume it's about.

It probably does make a major war less likely in the very short term, just by blocking Iran's response and the escalation that would otherwise lead to.

Wait, is this the Op-Ed where he gave his honest opinion that Palestinians were too battle-minded to pursue peace, but he hoped he was wrong?

I would agree with this opinion, and think history has proven it correct. Talk about a giant nothing burger. It is wild the complete double standards.

Hamas leaders that regular chant death to Israel, openly proclaim there will never be peace with Israel, and cheered on 10/7 are framed as "moderate," and a 20 year old IDF volunteer giving such a milquetoast (and arguably correct) opinion is beyond the pale. It really is wild.

Continuing to suggest he was called a moderate can only be intentionally dishonest at this point.

He probably read that part of the Hamas charter where they say there will never be peace in Palestine until the Zionists have been eradicated and simply took them for their word

Zionists are well known for their peaceful ways for 80 years now

Coordi: I'm not sure what point you are making.

I do

Hamas doesn't have any moderate leadership, by word or action
Hamas steals a tremendous amount of aid money and resources for their war machine
Hamas and Egypt coordinate a vast tunnel network to smuggle weapons into Gaza and people in and out
The Palestinians generally support violent conquest of Israel, as polling continually indicates
UNRWA employs Hamas terrorists
UNRWA schools are openly used by Hamas for resistance activities
UNRWA openly teaches radicalization of Palestinians against Israel/Jews
Al Jazeera employs Hamas terrorists

--Even if you are a Israel critic, all the above points are obviously true; and wish casting or pretending they aren't isn't accomplishing anything productive IMO. And because all of these things are true, there is no reason to expect anything to get better just going back to the pre 10/7 status quo.

That the people in this thread defending Hamas have a fundamental misunderstanding of who they are and what they stand for and these people are victims of propaganda designed to drive voter apathy

You really couldn't pick up on the Hamas is bad part of my comments though?

by Bluegrassplayer

Which do you think is the more moderate of these two options:

1. Planning the murder and kidnapping of Jewish civilians and then enacting the plan.

2. Celebrating Jewish civilians murdered and kidnapped by Hamas terrorists during that plan.

No one is saying he is a moderate. The word you keep not including, "relative", is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

And the guy who has 15% of the comments in a 31500 comment thread with a couple hundred unique posters is quite literally denying that the Hamas charter exists in the form that it exists

Hmm careful there, there isn't only the USA, and in many places being pro Hamas motivates pro Hamas voters to go and tick the pro Hamas party name.

Like in the recent french elections where the antisemite communists performed better than expected

I legitimately think mods should nuke this thread. Nothing good is in it, nothing good is coming out.

I check in on this thread from time to time to see if both sides have come to an understanding. You would figure they would have worked this out by now.

IDF soldiers joking about the kids they murdered

All Hamas's fault for radicalising "the most moral army in the world".

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has said that Israel killed Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh using a “short-range projectile” launched from outside of his accommodation in Tehran.

An IRG statement read:

This terrorist operation was carried out by firing a short-range projectile with a warhead of about 7 kilograms - causing a strong explosion - from outside the accommodation area.
