US was built on murder and is sustained by it. I dont think its really an option to stop the murder machine.

it would be nice if they stopped. it would also be nice if they let the people leave. but the machine needs its blood.

How do we fix the Israel v Palestine issue?

by Bubble_Balls

People itt acting like Israel and the U.S. by extension are literally incapable of not bombing places with Palestinian civilians. That’s an option you’re purposefully ignoring. They don’t have to leave. It makes sense to take in refugees when bombing can’t be stopped, usually because it’s a non-ally that’s doing it who won’t be deterred without a return of force. They don't have magical bombs that can kill Hamas without zero collateral damage.

Which is again not an argument that I or anyone else is making.

Also, Israel could take in the refugees? Certainly the country actively creating the refugee crisis should bear the lion's share of responsibility here.

either the Empire completes the extermination and enslavement and theft or Israel ends the illegal apartheid genocidal occupation and respects International Law and Human Rights (lol ya right.)

From the river to the sea?

Oh boy, this would be an interesting one.

So now that we have a 10 month sample size that Islamists can no longer attack Israel and then use their own civilian populations as human shields to deter a counter-attack, and the US is unwilling and/or unable to persuade Israel to accept being deterred by such a strategy; perhaps this would be a good time to update your software and shift to the moral model that has been more or less effectively used in every other conflict in the last hundred years, and that is removing civilians from war zones.

Dont you think?

Seems the Western world is committed to just supporting both sides of the conflict, creating perverse incentive structures to ensure no peace ever happens, and letting it run out indefinitely. I guess at some point Western civilization itself will collapse, and then things will resolve one way or another; but I think it is going to be a very pyrrhic victory indeed for whoever "wins."

There's a third option - the conflict spreads, something goes wrong and we all get nuked.

Somewhat easier to remove the war zones from civilians, don't you think? Unless your intentions are to inflict war on civilians.

Incidentally, your side on this seems to be a little thin on the ground now here - any ideas why?

They did that, didn't they? 20% of their country are Arab. They had lots of Arabs coming in every day to work in the kibbutzim on agricultural projects. Those Arabs were spying for Hamas and let them know about the families homes, whether they had guns, if dogs were friendly (which they shot them anyway with their tails wagging).

lol @ the stuff you people believe.

Just had some goofballs ask if I wanted to give money to Palestinians outside of QFC. "No, I don't support terrorists. War Israel." It's unreal seeing such a huge % of my population eat up TikTok propaganda.

Israel is by far the best country to live in , in the area, if you are Arab.

Especially if you are an Arab woman or you are not hetero as a man, that goes without saying.

But even for Arab hetero men, unless you truly like Sharia law, Israel is the best place to live in the ME.

Yep. It's not even close.

You were probably saying the same back in February when torture and rape claims were coming out weren't you?

Meh. Misinformed Western nonsense because they believe every country in the middle east is basically Afghanistan. I'd argue against you but what's the point.

And Hamas has no part in the conflict being centered around populated areas? They took hostages and dragged them back into populated areas. Some of the hostages were being guarded by “civilians”…

Check per Capita GDP of countries bordering Israel then say you are sorry

The countries I was thinking about all rank higher than Israel. Why would I apologize? You're confusing yourself by saying area and then ME. Not all countries in the ME share a border with Israel.

You might be mistaken by how well CITIZENS can live in Qatar or something, but if a non citizen Arab moves there, he doesn't get anything, do you realize that? They treat him like they treat people from Bangladesh

Speaking as a non citizen Arab who has lived there. I can confirm I wasn't treated like people from Bangladesh.

Stop moving the goal post buddy. Arabs live plenty fine lives in other countries in the ME and there's also plenty of anecdotes out there of how Arabs are being treated in Israel.

Does an Arab have a much better life in Israel than Syria? Sure.

Dun, I imagine if we were talking about Russia and Ukraine weÂ’d be more or less in agreement. WeÂ’d agree that itÂ’s good that Europe took in refugees but it would be best if Russia simply stopped creating them and that it is entirely within their power to do so.

WeÂ’d also probably agree that it would be absurd for a citizen of Russia to focus their scorn on either the countries not taking in the refugees or their fellow citizens who criticize their government instead of joining those citizens in placing the lionÂ’s share of the moral duty on their own country to stop.

Of course those pro government citizens in Russia might feel the war is a necessity, in which case IÂ’d hope youÂ’d agree that they should at least be arguing that their country should be doing everything in their power to take in refugees and that itÂ’s completely indefensible to claim that the war is both necessary and the refugees are someone elseÂ’s problem.
