With all due respect, 1 million tons is less than half a ton per person over almost a year. Something like 40-50kg a month is incredibly little to live on. To give you a little perspective, even if all of that weight is in rice, and nothing else, we're looking at 40k-50k calories in a month, which is well below ~2000/day required.
And for obvious reasons aid isn't going to be all just rice and food.

where are you getting that 1kg of food = 1k calories?

Which reasons do I have to believe that 1) the photo was a current (in June 2024) photo from Palestine and/or 2) that girl doesn't have a disease that gives her that condition orthogonal to purported lack of enough food and/or 3) that girl hasn't been starved by Hamas on purpose for the photo op?
Do you realize we do not believe, and expect any kind of malfeasance without limit from, any source which isn't pro Israel about anything happening in the area?

I am not ok with Hamas causing the death of Palestinian kids no, not at all.
Especially if they starve them by withholding food because they sell it to buy weapons, or because the family of the kid doesn't support Hamas.

Hamas should surrender unconditionally to stop all of this, they could at any time, if they don't it is all on them, every death, every suffering, everything you claim you want to stop.
Israel has a full moral right to keep the war ongoing to eradicate Hamas once and forever, Hamas has no right to exist and should cease to exist.
37 children dead from starvation is horrible, but we're talking about over the course of a year long war (which was a just war). Over a 3 year time span from 2016-2018, 85,000 children were estimated to have died. Even on a per capita basis, Gaza doesn't come anywhere near that.
The UN estimates that the war has caused an estimated 130,000 deaths from indirect causes which include lack of food, health services, and infrastructure as of December 2020.[11] In 2018, Save the Children estimated that 85,000 children have died due to starvation in the three years prior.[12][13]

Again I don't know how many times I have to restate this in this thread, but the war is caused by Hamas and continued by Hamas. Israel has done everything in its power to work with Western allies to ensure that refugees are supported humanely. They even proposed evacuating civilians out of Gaza into Egypt which for some reason was condemned by Western left-wing extremists as an ethnic cleansing, despite them not saying anything about Ukranian refugees who also had to flee their country. Maybe Hamas shouldn't force their civilian population to hang out in a war zone so they can score their disgusting optical victory in the eyes of well-meaning but ultimately naive Westerners who are easily manipulated.

1 cal per gram of cooked rice. You could get ~4 cal per grain of uncooked but you can't just ship rice either in that case. Water is zero cal and is quite heavy.
We're looking at starvation, at least the edge of it, even with very charitable interpretations of aid allowed through.
You're better off arguing Hamas is making aid far more difficult to distribute than necessary.
Israel could have and should have done more. They could make Gazans consume cooked meals on the spot (to ensure Hamas doesn't get any and/or dare them to attack) and feed way more people than they actually did.
I think 100 years from now we will be able to look back and realize that you both had a lot of starving people in gaza and that almost all of the pics published were either too deceptive to make the connection or outright fake. Its the same with the Ukraine war. Moat barely pass the minimum requirements to fool someone with zero understanding in photography while others fail to reach that bar. But none of that reaaly changes what actually is happening - it's just more opportunity for people who pay the bills doing these things.

They cant have a neighbor who will be firing rockets at them whether it is Gaza or the West Bank. Many do this because they think it's Gods will. Many do it because they believe it's the only way a Jewish state can stay safe. I think long term the "Palestinian" people will have to relocate. It's an awful existence but they have brought this upon themselves.

Gotchya. So we also have healthy fats, proteins, shelf-stable products.
Here are the estimates kcal per capita per day for four months in 2024

Note that these calculations include a standardization for the weight of the container. One container includes in it a much more balanced diet than what you are stating, yes including some rice but also health fats, protein, and shelf-stable items.

February was a relatively bad month, but it was also an outlier. For the most part, the amount of food being brought in is massive for a wartime situation, and the Israeli government has been allowing in an adequate supply of food.
Note this study does point out that the food coming in is obviously not the only problem. We also have to make sure that the food is being distributed properly. But if we pretend the problem is that Israel is "starving" Gaza we're going to come to some seriously flawed conclusions about what the issues are regarding humanitarian aid.
People are hurting on both sides of this war. The Palestinians are getting the worst of it but they also started it.

I think 100 years from now we will be able to look back and realize that you both had a lot of starving people in gaza and that almost all of the pics published were either too deceptive to make the connection or outright fake.
