Spain, Norway and Ireland are now legally obligated to take in Gazans. Good luck with that. Maybe next time they will keep their yaps shut.
Ireland is under no such legal obligation. That said I completely agree that the Irish government should indeed keep their yaps shut or at the very least use their yaps to support Israel

I don't think they are legally obligated.
But i do think they should be morally obligated.
Same as people in western countries in favor of unfilterd low skilled immigration while others are against, should personally pay the price of their preferences, and take unskilled immigrants in their homes everytime they can't find housing otherwise.

Regardless of what you personally think re moral obligations, I'm glad we agree that Ireland is under no legal obligation and that the Israeli minister is bullshitting.
Everyone loves talking about taking in Palestinians but no one actually loves taking in Palestinians. Par for the course for the typical virtue signaling nations. It’s very similar to the Hamas supporters here. They love to yap but they’ve never even met an Israeli or Palestinian. Ironically, the lDF soldier posting in here has done infinitely more to improve Palestinian lives than they ever will.
The idea that you don't believe that is kind of wild actually. Of course he wants peace. Ask him how many of his have been killed, wounded, or captured.
All he wants is peace. You don't go back in as a reservist because you want war. You'd be a full time soldier if you had even the smallest inclination to always be in the fight. You take another tour so that future Israelis never have to.

Oct 7th in any other country is more than enough grounds for war. We all know it.
Gaza still stands and Sinwar is still alive if not for that (and the attacks on the North too).
Actions DO have consequences in this world. FAFO.

The FAFO happened on 7/10 and Israel certainly found out about the likely consequences of decades of land theft and shelling.
