I think it's common sense that we are not alone in the universe, but unless faster than light speed travel somehow becomes possible, we ain't going to find anything. Look up the Drake equation for an explanation.

I highly doubt that flinging your arse thru interstellar space at speeds greater than 186,000 miles per second is the way you would want to make a long trip to distant galaxies.
There is just way to much debris, gravitational effects and radiation out there to make that feasible.

Generic suburban Denver. It's not really that bad. Just cold and gray for here. Not like Langdon-land or where I grew up by any means.
Weekend supposed to be back to nicer. Just have to plow through.

Always liked that movie. The area in which the ice cream shop was located was just starting to come around when it was filmed. I guess now it's been pretty gentrified, but at the time, probably would've been a neighborhood for criminal activity.
Did you ever go to lunch with some old friends and have a couple of pops? And then did you go home and have a few more? And then end up hammered before 6 pm? Yeah, me neither 😀

I am a life long sufferer also... some of my best thinking was done flat on my back in a room full of blackness.
that being said, these days I drink a cup of Chamomile tea around 8pm-9pm... and I am sleeping like a baby later that night.
there is no overt drowsiness and I can still function normally.
