Pretty wild scenes in Lebanon right now. A UN convoy got ambushed by a pro hezbollah mob, and UN employees had to run for their lives as their cars were torched.

And this happened one day after macron stated Israel should withdraw (even though the Lebanese army hasn’t taken control of Hezbollah areas as promised) and the UN take over security for the border area. If this is an example of how the UN provides security, then no thank you.

The irony is getting beat up by a civilian mob in the most action the UN has had in Lebanon in 40 years. Of course the reason the UN has had no action is they made agreements with hezbollah and Iran not to interfere in Hezbollah military actions against Israel and to provide Hezbollah intelligence in exchange for Being left alone.

I guess the Hezbollah mobs felt this was not enough support and the UN forces should have fought with them when they opened up a second front on Israel northern border after the 10/7 invasion (and subsequently found out)

That opportunity went away on Oct 7th.

I'm Scottish so outside the US news bubble but it's insane to me how many Israeli apologists there are in this thread. Israel is flat out evil, there's no nuance.

If you really believe that happened you need to take a deep breath and go for a walk or something. It's not healthy to be so full of misplaced hate.

Watch the footage Hamas recorded. You will see this and other atrocities. Most of you haven't seen it. Trump and myself have. This is what prompted Trump to take Gaza. This is why Trump just sent MOAB's to Israel. He's gonna let them take care of things. I suspect all hostages won't be released by 12 noon tomorrow as we have demanded.

Can you flesh this out more. Israel is just a land mass. So I assume you mean Jews who live in Israel are evil, correct? Also, what do you feel is the epistemological basis of this evilness? And do you think Israeli Jews are redeemable, or no?

The stories of beheaded babies, infants hung off clotheslines, babies baked in ovens… not only were all of these accusations proven to be unfounded and no evidence that would suggest otherwise, there are scores of testimonies of Irgun & Haganah purporting these exact crimes in 1947-1949.

over 300 uncharged "prisoners" taken after Oct 7th were released today. 4 were rushed to the hospital. many pictures of starved, emaciated, and unhealthy people wit clear signs of torture.

The hostage-"prisoner" exchanges are comical. Hamas has this whole "Miss America" stage setup for parading those poor people before they go. They get lanyards and odd little Hamas gift bags (apparently containing Hamas keychains, etc).

The Israelis drive caravans of buses to dump hundreds of emaciated Palestinians they are releasing. Then they go out and arrest hundreds more.

Have you seen all of the footage? Have you talked to the witnesses? Have you talked to the victims? I have a feeling you are not looking for any information that will ruin your current narrative.

I would like to know the context behind why these folks were detained. I know that 100% of the Israeli hostages were innocent people just living their lives. Ironically, many of the Israeli hostages had previously helped the Gazans with rides to doctors and other good deeds.

I'm hopeful that Trumps Gaza plan will put an end to all of this on both sides. Humans should not be treated like this unless they have committed a terrorist act.

It's probably best if you just keep it to yourself.
