your problem with inflation guys is that Trump might be able to create a mini recession/slowdown with tariffs , DOGE, deportations, and potential medicaid/food stamp cuts in reconcilation, and you probably know that is true, and you are terrified he could manage to bring inflation down for real, while only minimally touching his voters (who mostly aren't on medicaid/food stamps).

I never ever wrote that trump would have been able to decrease prices in a day lol, take it to the people who did.
for eggs (avian flu in particular) I never wrote anything gvmnt can do I think, for oil/gasoline I wrote slashing regulations further and solving the Ukrainian war (even with a deal that is terrible for Europe) would have helped those prices.

An actual audit of a US government department would take longer than a few weeks. It would take months. I mean institutions taking public money who are then by law forced to follow all the constitutional provisions that would apply if they were public institutions.
Anyone taking money from the state (that includes their students benefiting from state help for loans to pay their tuition) is under the 1a same as police is.

for example if starlink or any other telecom company gets subsidies to cover an area then OFC I am against the freedom for that company to refuse service to anyone on the basis of protected classes (or speech).
they don't become nationalized.
but they lose the complete freedom they (should) have in the private sector and become chained by constitutional limitations as any other state actor.
keep in mind that is already how things are in the USA
Material supports of enemies isn't a matter of free speech in the slightest. If someone is officially declared an enemy of the republic by the political bodies (like Hamas is) , supporting it in any way or form is treason.
You can talk about how the state should not consider them an enemy as much as you want but you are not allowed to "pick up their cause" in any form, that's material support for the enemy.

the line can be blurred but it has to be material support.
in fact the people arrested/punished for pro-pal protests never were so because the content of their speeches, rather because they committed other illegal acts while protesting (like blocking roads illegally or occupying buildings illegaly and so on).
but all those people chanting pro Hamas strong enough, should be monitored very carefully and if any of them does any material support for the "cause" (like saying helping Hamas people get IDs to enter the USA, sending money to organizations that are Hamas fronts and so on), the whole power of the US gvmnt should be used against them.
